The Marketing Director provides leadership for the Marketing team and for company marketing efforts, including, but not limited to, the pursuit of new work through the submission of request for qualifications, proposals, and interview efforts. The Marketing Director works with internal and external clients to research, plan, coordinate, manage and develop the content necessary to tell the CG Schmidt story with authenticity, creativity, and integrity. In addition, this person is responsible for Company branding, website, social media strategy, collateral materials, advertising, sponsorships, and public relations, and will work with senior Company leadership to increase visibility, revenue, and team member satisfaction.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide leadership, management, coaching and mentoring of the Marketing team members. 
  • Build, manage, and maintain a high performing, team-focused department by developing, and retaining strong talent. 
  • Develop strategy for department, centered around CG Schmidt core values, business goals, Company branding and departmental effectiveness metrics. 
  • Lead and manage the proposal and qualification development process, in coordination with business development. 
  • Develop, enhance, and enforce CG Schmidt messaging, branding, and overall image. 
  • Develop and oversee strategy for social media platforms, website development, market-specific branding, internal development, and media coverage. 
  • In partnership with business development, provide leadership, strategic input, and support for the pre-referendum process. 
  • In partnership with business development, provide leadership, strategic input and support for project interviews and other presentations as needed. 
  • Lead the process for continuous evaluation of trends in the marketplace, including the process of obtaining and disseminating competitive intelligence across all markets and service areas. 
  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies; establish the measurement of marketing program effectiveness. 
  • Collaborate with leadership in all company departments and offices to support strategic marketing goals of the company. 
  • Lead and manage company-wide photography and videography efforts. 
  • Lead in the organization of client events, groundbreakings, conferences, conventions, and tradeshows. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications or related field 
  • 5+ years in senior marketing position with a thorough knowledge of marketing principles, service management, sales, and business development, along with a demonstrated track record of success and performance. 
  • Outstanding analytical skills, a high degree of intellectual curiosity and creativity, and the ability to engage with other senior leaders in addressing complex business issues. 
  • Excellent writing skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the firm. 
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deploy resources effectively. 
  • Knowledgeable of web / e-marketing and social media best practices. 
  • Experience in strategic planning and collaboration with senior leadership. 
  • Proven record of leadership. 
  • Ability to create and implement clear action plans. 
  • Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office and CRM software
