Position Details

Marketing Experience Owner
Southwest Wisconsin
Madison, WI

This position is a strategic thought leader with experience developing and driving cross-functional projects that result in the delivery of new experiences and initiatives.

  • Leads strategic development and planning efforts for team
  • Leads or acts a SME on major, cross-experience projects and initiatives
  • Manages creative agency relationship
  • Accountable for working within the marketing division to ensure that the experience and touch points delivered to prospects/customers are aligned to the marketing vision and seamlessly connected throughout the experience
  • Responsible for working within the team and across the division to ensure the owned media touch points complement other channels and connect different journey stages

Job Family Summary:

Delivers industry leading user experiences, from consideration to policy termination, which are engaging, modern and personalized and serve as an extension of the agent relationship and an embodiment of the brand promise. Ensures a smooth customer experience as customers move between digital and other touchpoints. Accountable for and delivers key business driving metrics.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Leads the development of experience solutions across the company. 
  • Leads cross-functional teams to prioritize and deliver solutions that align with the company’s mission and strategic goals. 
  • Leads solution integration including communication, implementation, and change management plans. 
  • Accountable for assigned experience key business drivers, and managing features or experiences(s) with a high degree of scope/complexity. 
  • Leads the development of experience roadmaps and backlogs, outlining customer themes and stories that are prioritized based on short-term and long-term value delivery. 
  • Drives experience development towards a meaningful balance between user needs, business objectives, resource utilization, and technical feasibility. 
  • Responsible for experience investment, risk and budget management as well as issue resolution.

Travel Requirements:

  • This job requires travel up to 10% of the time

Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service 
  • Solid knowledge of the technology industry, including current and emerging digital solutions and trends 
  • Extensive knowledge of agile methodologies, managing technology solutions, industry standards and best practices. 
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the market, users, and landscape of products and applications. 
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative and cross-functional team environment. 
  • Demonstrated experience communicating technical concepts clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. 
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large, cross functional, complex projects. 
  • Demonstrated experience applying critical thinking to the analysis of opportunities and making recommendations accordingly. 
  • Solid business acumen and an understanding of the business issues within the insurance industry and the company 
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of marketing strategy and tactics, including: brand strategy, media tactics (digital, paid, social, direct, broad), mobile and emerging marketing and media technology. 
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of marketing concepts and strategies.

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

  • Demonstrated experience leading development, design and implementation of marketing strategies aligned to business targets 
  • Demonstrated experience generating innovative ideas and solutions. 
  • Critical thinker with data-driven analytical aptitude. 
  • Demonstrated experience moderating large and small-scale ideation and brainstorming sessions with a consensus building style.
