Provides support and assistance on a variety of marketing projects using provided strategies and creative direction. This includes the following marketing areas; market research, development of company and business unit marketing literature (brochures, sell sheets, etc.), review and update of the marketing infrastructure including a database system, intranet, and external website. Coordinates production of proposals, projects, and marketing literature.

  • Conducts market research that supports overall marketing strategies to support select business units. 
  • Maintains select business unit email databases. 
  • Proactive management and support of tradeshows, events, and company meetings. 
  • Assists in writing and editing sales and marketing materials, including articles, presentations, white papers, and collateral. 
  • Maintains project tracking spread sheets and marketing and trade show calendars. 
  • Assists in developing and maintaining the marketing asset library. 
  • Serves as a project liaison between Great Northern and advertising agencies, print suppliers, freelance talent, and various marketing services. 
  • Prepares press releases, company newsletter and event announcements. 
  • Updates content on select websites and social media sites. 
  • Develops PowerPoint presentations Prepares invitations and event agendas, tracks payments or refunds and registration forms for business unit events. 
  • Coordinates events for client visits and sales meetings along with dinners, parties, luncheons, happy hours, etc. 
  • Validates and fulfills requests for information and marketing, tracking mails and requests. 
  • Keeps current in field by reading published information and attending authorized seminars and conferences. 
  • Participates in group meetings, kaizens, and other functions to improve the overall performance of GNC. 
  • Knows, understands, and follows Company policies and procedures. Promotes a positive environment, supporting the GNC teamwork concept. 
  • Assists manager with special projects as assigned. Regular and reliable attendance.
  • 4-year Degree in Marketing preferred or Associate’s Degree in Marketing. 
  • A minimum of three years experience working in a Marketing generalist role. 
  • Project management. 
  • Knowledge of marketing principles. 
  • Understanding of new technologies and their application to marketing. 
  • Copywriting and the ability to communicate technical aspects of the company’s products to a broad range of audiences. 
  • Effective means to acquire market information. 
  • Capable of writing reports, procedures and business correspondence. 
  • Ability to work individually and self-driven projects. 
  • Organization, prioritization and time management skills. 
  • Ability to work under stress to meet project deadlines. 
  • Possess an attention to detail. 
  • Professional appearance and demeanor. 
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Prezi. 
  • Familiarity with project management systems. 
  • Some design capabilities a plus.
