Marketing Generalist

Marketing Generalist Overview:

The Marketing Generalist will create, design, and maintain websites, SEO, videos, PowerPoint presentations, marketing materials, and social media presence for the family of metals manufacturing companies to attract new customers and employees.

You’ll be a great fit if:

  • You are able to create user experience, navigation, and architecture for websites, Intranet, Apps and other web applications that can quickly grow and change with the needs of the organization. 
  • You can implement and manage an SEO/SEM strategy to maximize the volume of inbound organic traffic from search engines, accomplished through a combination of on-page and off-page techniques, including link-building, social media strategy, viral marketing, keyword optimization, site speed optimization, content strategy, and information architecture. 
  • You are able to collaborate with department members and other business unit leaders, develop online strategies for achieving stated business goals, such as brand awareness, generating leads and attracting new talent. 
  • You have the ability to create and lead overarching strategy for social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, Blog) and maintains the content on those channels. 
  • You can have a partnership with the Sales Manager and President in order to develop strategies to drive qualified traffic to the website(s) and landing pages through SEO, SEM, display media, paid social media marketing, email marketing, content marketing, integrated campaigns, and other lead generation and traffic driving strategies and tactics. 
  • You can design marketing materials for web, media, and print. 
  • You have the ability to design in the following software: Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, After Effects, Audition, and Media Encoder 
  • You can complete other duties as assigned.

To be considered you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree (preferred) 
  • 5+ years of experience in lieu of a degree 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, After Effects, Audition, and Media Encoder

The following Skills & Competencies:

  • Fluent in website creation 
  • Fluent in intranet creation and Apps 
  • Experience in SEO/SEM 
  • Experience utilizing Social Media applications 
  • Strong computer skills 
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to focus on more than one task at a time 
  • Creativity is a must and mechanical aptitude is a plus 
  • Ability to produce videos, from pre-production to post-production 
  • Ability to shoot photos and use different photo editing techniques
