SunOpta is looking for passionate and self-motivated students to join our 2024 Summer Internship Program. Internships will last between 8 – 12 weeks based on the successful candidates’ availability. Internship positions will be paid competitively.

Job Summary:

Interns that join our team will utilize the knowledge and skills that they’ve gained in the classroom by working side-by-side with professionals at SunOpta and become part of a team and gain meaningful on-the job experience. Interns will gain insight into the latest trends in the Food industry while working on special projects, improving processes, and creating new & innovative products.

Essential Functions of the Job:

MARKETING INTERNSHIP:

  • Work in a fun, fast-paced environment, digging into real marketing & general management projects that will impact the strategic direction of our organization! 
  • Gain experience with both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) marketing. 
  • Work cross functionally to learn how other departments impact a business. 
  • Manage one primary project with additional opportunities to contribute as assigned. 
  • Past projects include market analysis, competitive analysis, innovation, and go-to-market strategy.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be at least a sophomore in college and actively pursuing a degree. 
  • Graduate students will be considered. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship experience. 
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Additional Considerations:

  • Travel: Travel may be required to various SunOpta locations for plant trials or other job-related functions.
  • Location: This position will be located at our Corporate Office in Eden Prairie, MN.
  • Relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.
