Join the Optum Financial marketing team to help consumers save on current and future health care through health benefits accounts.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting digital marketing initiatives, including assisting with site testing plans, user experience enhancements, content development and engagement optimization 
  • Assisting with search engine marketing efforts, including campaign development, design and content strategy, timelines and analysis/ROI 
  • Assisting with the development of print, video and other assets including creative input, content reviews/approval and project management tracking 
  • Participating in project meetings and collaborating as part of an internal team 
  • Coordinating communications and meetings between cross-functional teams to advance projects 
  • Documenting performance metrics for identified communication resources and tools 
  • Supporting live webinar events, including event promotion, content, logistics and analytics 
  • Testing, measuring, and analyzing ROI to help drive business growth

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Healthcare Administration or other related field from an accredited college/university. Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college/university during the duration of the internship. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors. 
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered). 
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with search engine marketing platforms including social media and paid search 
  • Demonstrated accountability for assignments and projects 
  • Experience balancing priorities while achieving targeted timelines. 
  • Digital communication channel experience (email, nurture campaigns, websites and social media) 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint 
  • Knowledge in content management platforms (CMS) such as WordPress or Adobe Experience Manager 
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, Workfront, Eloqua, or similar sales and marketing workflow management solutions 
  • Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA 
  • Solid communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently on projects as well in a team environment
