Marketing Lead

Summary:

Credit Union National Association is excited to announce an opening for a Marketing Lead. This integral role plays a part in the development and execution of effective marketing strategies that serve to deliver products and services to credit union professionals around the country. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team! This position will be considered a hybrid with a blend of remote and in-office at CUNA’s corporate headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities:

• Create and implement communications, marketing, and advertising plans for internal, league, credit union, and member customers that will support established strategic goals. 
• Participate in identifying needs, objectives, and target audiences with product managers and communications managers. 
• Direct messaging approach for strategic marketing initiatives, working with a copywriter to ensure adherence to brand standards and product value proposition while appropriately addressing the needs and pain points of targets using personas. 
• Coordinate and implement design, production, and distribution of marketing materials for a variety of projects; including planning one’s own workload to achieve and ensure the project is completed on time and within budget as well as managing timelines and deliverables from internal teams. 
• Provide direction on projects, ensure quality and accuracy of marketing activities with internal and external resources. 
• Develop, implement, and use effective measures and analysis to capture and record results from each marketing initiative. 
• Develop, implement, and monitor marketing quality control procedures and standards used in the creation and distribution of CUNA's marketing initiatives. 
• Primary point of contact between the marketing team and designated department, division, or product set. 
• Responsible for monitoring and communicating about marketing projects and related plans.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or relevant experience in lieu of education. 
• Minimum of 1-3 years experience in a related role. Prior experience in a marketing department or advertising agency as an assistant account executive or account coordinator a plus. 
• Experience with or understanding of regulatory compliance roles in financial institutions is a plus. 
• Experience in product marketing, lead generation, and nurturing, as well as in B2B environments preferred. 
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced and tight timeline-driven department required. 
• Understanding of budget, financial concepts, and project management is helpful. 
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, attention to detail, and follow-through required; experience with project management tools a plus.
