Job Purpose and Impact:

The Cargill Horizons Venture Studio team is seeking a Marketing Leader with an entrepreneurial mindset for a new, innovative technology business that is focused on transforming the food takeout industry with an emerging smart food locker solution. The Marketing Leader will leverage expertise and thought leadership to define and coordinate execution of a new B2B marketing strategy, working alongside the core venture team to position the new product for growth. In this role, you will own and define the company's marketing strategy, execute and coordinate against that strategy, & launch key initiatives to create demand and maximize sales for the newly launched solution. This role sits in the Cargill Horizons Venture Studio, a team focused on incubating and scaling new businesses to drive forward the future of food and agriculture, and will be dedicated to the smart food locker venture.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Define and own the marketing strategy for the emerging technology business, including brand leadership, lead generation, adoption measurement, retention, referrals, and direct marketing budget ownership. 
  • Execute voice of customer research & insights analysis to influence messaging and value proposition strategy for the evolving product. 
  • Manage key partners and/or independently execute in order to produce key marketing material, run advertising initiatives, or perform any other marketing tasks in order to execute against the marketing strategy. 
  • Define, monitor, and adjust promotion or advertising programs as the product continues to scale and evolve. 
  • Define and own the creation of all marketing, advertising and sales promotion initiatives and assets for implementing the defined marketing strategy for the new business. 
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues and solve problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience. 
  • Experience guiding or defining marketing strategy for a new product or service

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building and driving marketing strategy for a new product or business. 
  • Experience in managing brand strategy. 
  • Experience marketing food or technology products. 
  • Food service industry experience. 
  • B2B and B2C marketing experience. 
  • Hands on experience with CRM (Hubspot, Salesforce) and digital lead generation. 
  • Consumer insights experience.
