Position Overview:

This position is home office based / remote. The Marketing Manager, Congress Relations, reporting to the Associate Director, is responsible for leading marketing efforts to optimize conference promotion / engagement and support commercial insight strategies.

Key responsibilities include: (1) developing and leading a holistic approach to conferences and advocacy groups with cross functional teams, (2) identifying untapped business and educational opportunities and implementing approaches to capitalize on these opportunities, while ensuring strategic alignment to Cologuard's US commercial objectives and (3) supporting marketing insight development to inform strategies and tactics. The MM, Congress Relations will lead conference strategy for the Commercial team and support new business opportunities within the conference channel for Exact Sciences.

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and oversee implementationofall promotional and non-promotional Commercialteam activities at congresses / conferences. 
  • Lead sponsorship / conferenceplanning process including management of budget and negotiations of tangible benefits with external venders. 
  • Coordinate distribution of deliverables/conference insights to Marketing and Analytics team promptly following each conference. 
  • Track and compile relevant metrics for dissemination to functional partners in monthly and quarterly reports. 
  • Support peer-to-peer operations and execution within the conference channel. 
  • Support externally facing activities with national level Thought Leaders, including interactions at medical meetings, conferences, and advisory boards. 
  • Partner with the Senior Directors of Healthcare Markets (GI, Health Systems, and Primary Care) and the Marketing Leads to identify key marketing opportunities/projects. Lead team to execute plans for area opportunities. 
  • Ensure appropriate measurement plan is in place for initiatives to demonstrate effective use of resources and investment decisions. 
  • Lead projects compliantly and effectively through the promotional review process to deliver high-quality work in a timely fashion to meet deadlines. Ensures that regulatory guidelines are followed. 
  • Coordinate the work of multiple external vendors and internal departments including Agency Partners, Marketing, Market Research, Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Corporate Compliance, Consumer Marketing, Health System Marketing, Commercial Effectiveness, and IT. 
  • Maintain morale and support employee engagement initiatives. 
  • Ability to influence across teams/functions.

  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures. 
  • Regular and reliable attendance. 
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day. 
  • Ability to grasp with both hands; pinch with thumb and forefinger; turn with hand/arm; reach above shoulder height. 
  • Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously. 
  • Ability to travel 30-50% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field. 
  • 4+ years of experience in sales and/or marketing. 
  • Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel macros and pivot tables, and Word mail merge. 
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. 
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or MPH. 
  • Previous experience with Gastroenterology, Women’s Health, or Medical Oncology.

Salary Range: $105,000.00 - $168,000.00

The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms, conditions, and eligibility requirements of the applicable plans.
