In support of the company mission, OnCourse Learning is seeking a candidate with a successful integrated marketing track record focused on trade show marketing and planning. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, strategic and an innovative thinker. S/he will be responsible for enhancing OnCourse Learning’s visibility and favorable company image by managing all aspects of planning, promoting, and evaluating trade shows and events. S/he will create and communicate the OnCourse Learning annual trade show plan ensuring logistical and lead generation goals are met for each event. S/he will be responsible for working directly with channel marketing teams to evaluate and score all recommended trade shows, plan all details of the event, ensure pre- and post-show marketing strategies, manage the budget, and report on success. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining event marketing strategies to meet agreed company objectives. They will evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implement marketing plan alterations as needed. 

The employee is expected to adhere to ethics policies and practices as established by OnCourse Learning.

Essential Functions:

  1. Plan and manage all marketing trade show events and execute all event details including production, venue management, managing timelines, logistics, vendors, budgets and more
  2. Coordinate tradeshow and event platforms, related graphics and promotional activities to support OnCourse Learning’s mission
  3. Develop pre- and post-show marketing and communication strategies
  4. Generate regular reports on event lead generation and track ROI
  5. Manage all event-related collateral and supporting materials including emails, flyers, postcards, ads, signage
  6. Develop event process, procedures and templates to improve the efficiency of the event planning workflow
  7. Negotiate contracts and agreements with outside vendors to ensure events are cost effective while maintaining the highest quality of service Other duties as assigned.
  8. Other duties as assigned. 

Essential Education, Skills and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications or related field 
  • Minimum of 3 years of trade show marketing and planning experience; more experience preferred.  
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills are required 
  • Capable of managing multiple projects from start to finish and have the ability to work within deadlines with minimal supervision 
  • Proven ability to present and pitch ideas effectively to management team 
  • An understanding of brand, positioning, lead generation tools, customer and market dynamics and requirements. 
  • Ability to evaluate creative concepts and executions based on creativity, strategic alignment and consumer impact
