Summary:

Responsible for developing high-quality and impactful marketing ideas / campaigns for our global military teams.

  • Responsible for collaborating and organizing AAR´s military-related tradeshow presence. 
  • Managing AAR´s promotional items including idea generation, order process, vendor management and online store development 
  • Responsible for essential administrative support for company and customer events

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

This is a highly collaborative position within the Corporate Marketing team working with business units and service departments across the Company to produce outstanding marketing materials for our military teams including organizing tradeshows and events.

Area Marketing / Event Management:

  • Plan, manage, coordinate onsite military-related trade shows from start to finish, support commercial tradeshows as needed. 
  • Provide budget estimates for upcoming fiscal year planning purposes and cost monitoring. 
  • Work with team members on creative messaging for our booth to deliver a clear AAR story and demonstrate our capabilities.

Product Marketing / Marketing Collateral:

  • Develop new and update existing product / service-related tools (white papers, case studies, infographics, video, presentations, etc.) working closely with Business Development team members. 
  • Develop in collaboration with military and marketing teams' content to use on the corporate website and various materials. 
  • Assist in development and refinement of uniform graphic standards and visual brand strategies. 
  • Take pictures and / or assist with photo shoots. 
  • Storyboard, conceptualize video ideas.

Branding / Corporate Identity:

  • Ensure CI standards are met for tradeshow materials, customer presentations and strategic material. 
  • Act as an internal advisor with Brand Manager on logo use and brand standards for military-related marketing material

Advertising:

  • Develop annual ad plans for military marketing, review and analyze industry media, and manage invoices. 
  • Work with graphic designer to create targeted print and digital ads. 
  • Coordinate, measure and communicate ad metrics in coordination with ad agency to maximize ROI and demonstrate positive impact on business.

Additional Activities:

  • Assist with digital asset management system. 
  • Stay up to date on the latest marketing best practices and technologies. 
  • Collaborate with other departments on a project-required basis. 
  • 25% travel required.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Outlook and Word, PowerPoint. 
  • Willingness to travel 25% per year for tradeshows. 
  • Background in aviation and / or military a plus. 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite / Cloud, Final Cut Pro, iMovie a plus. 
  • Creative thinking skills, detailed oriented, organized and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Adaptability/openness to feedback. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects. 
  • Proficient with social media platforms and developing content / campaigns.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
  • 5+ years full time experience in a similar position / role (Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, Event Management, etc.)
