ROLE ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Lead the ongoing evolution of Vital Essentials and Nature’s Advantage branding, messaging and positioning within the pet industry across all channels. 
  • Lead the planning, design and execution of branded content across the organization, including all written and audio-visual content generation. 
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Design, R&D, and Production to launch new products, leveraging market research along with consumer and industry insights. 
  • Oversees PIM/PXM system ensuring product specs, content and pricing is current with 100% accuracy. 
  • Work closely with ecommerce group to lead website design and content, email marketing, lead generation, landing page conversion, referral marketing, and loyalty programs to attain budgeted revenue. 
  • Lead media and influencer relations to increase local and national brand and corporate media coverage. 
  • Support sales groups (Retail, International, eCommerce) with value proposition-based materials, presentations, merchandising execution and product materials. 
  • Establish and maintain KPIs across all channels and platforms consistent with strategic plan.

  • Proven track record leading and implementing consumer-centric, multi-channel, integrated marketing strategies. 
  • Able to manage and balance in-house and agency talent to meet the needs of the organization. 
  • Strong understanding of digital analytics standard methodologies and proven capability to use data to drive business decisions. 
  • You prioritize better than all others and ALWAYS exceed role requirements. 
  • You are a pet owner and pet lover and you openly exhibit your passion for pets. 

SUCCESS FACTOR SNAPSHOT:

First 30 days

  • Become intimately immersed in our organization and culture. 
  • Evaluate current marketing KPIs and plans to assess appropriateness to meet sales forecasts. 
  • Actively participate in current branding project(s) and become key member of brand launch team. 

First 60 days

  • Complete training on marketing systems and programs specific to B2C and B2B channels.
  • Evaluate current B2B sales support materials and develop roadmap for pull-through strategies including training, go-to-market and channel growth. 

First 90 days

  • Evaluate current retail promotional programs; develop roadmap to support retail sales growth initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to develop standardized, repeatable “go to market” programs to support the full product lifecycle. 
  • Launch customer loyalty program across all sales channels. 

First 120 days

  • Develop competitive analysis reporting with monthly distribution to key leadership for B2B and B2C channels. 
  • Develop an overall strategic marketing investment strategy to promote our organizations’ products and services to acquire new customers across B2C and B2B channels. 
  • Set specific objectives and methods to monitor KPI progress for all channels. 

First 6 months

  • Double consumer database through lead generation and nurture tactics. 
  • Increase consumer engagement by >50% across all digital channels. 
  • Collaborate with customer service team and deploy consumer CRM system with knowledgebase that includes real-time support tools. 

First 9 months

  • Collaborate with D2C team and deploy tactics to increase eCommerce revenue by 200% to achieve $1.2M sales.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university

Experience/Requirements:

  • 5+ years Marketing experience with progressive leadership roles You have played a significant role in building a wildly successful consumer brand. 
  • You have implemented marketing automation and lead generation, which have increased customer acquisition and brand loyalty. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft and GSuite applications. 
  • Must possess advanced computer communications, organizational and public speaking skills. 
  • Clean driving record a must. 
  • Required Travel: Up to 10% 
  • Manages Others: Up to 8 direct reports 

Background check, pre-employment drug screen and industry non-compete are required. Position resides at our corporate office in Green Bay, WI. No relocation package available.
