CESA 6 is a non-profit, member-driven cooperative educational service agency – thus part of our name is CESA. We are one of 12 CESAs in Wisconsin – we are CESA 6!

With offices headquartered in Oshkosh, WI, CESA 6 serves 39 public school districts in Dodge, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Outagamie, Washington, Waupaca, Waushara and Winnebago counties. We are governed by an 11-member Board of Control representing the public school districts in our region. In fact, each dot in our logo represents one of the districts in our region, which range from large to small – just like the dots on our CESA 6 star!

CESA 6 is seeking to hire a Marketing Manager, beginning July, 2021. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing a strategic marketing plan for the Agency. Through collaboration with the agency leadership, the Marketing Manager will position agency departments to attract potential customers and retain existing ones with effective marketing tactics.

Essential functions and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop a brand strategy. 
  • Lead development of an agency marketing plan , leveraging internal support and driving collaboration. 
  • Establish short and long range marketing goals, defining key performance indicators and select strategies for the agency. 
  • Engage in continuous improvement to study effectiveness and impact of marketing strategies and tactics and act to achieve desired results. 
  • Understand the agency’s product and service offerings and approach of key competitors; communicate products and services differentiation to the sales team and provide input to leadership. 
  • Assist with the product and service development process, customer insights, consumer trends, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies to increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads. 
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics. 
  • Present deliverables to internal teams on a continual basis, and communicate with Chiefs Officers on programs and strategies. 
  • Develop buyer personas, identify target audiences, and establish positioning. 
  • Write compelling copy for different collateral types and audiences that attracts target personas and converts leads to customers. 
  • Manage projects, including: meeting deadlines, time management, contingency planning, approval channels and procedures, budgeting, campaign analysis, and tracking / monitoring procedures. 
  • Conduct market research and analysis, and establish data management and tracking systems to improve the agency’s marketing efforts. 
  • Conceptualize and execute on multi-channel campaigns. 
  • Guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public-¬facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets. 
  • Create and manage a calendar of events such as webinars, conferences and thought leadership contributions. 
  • Manage and refine the agency’s digital presence including web and social media. 
  • Protect the integrity of the CESA 6 brand and all uses; communicate branding guidelines to staff and partners. 
  • Develop, collaborate and proactively monitor the agency marketing budget.

Qualified candidates for this position will possess the following educational background and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
  • Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns. 
  • Proficiency with online marketing and social media strategy. 
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting the product development process. 
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills. 
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity. 
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools. 
  • Prior experience working within the education sector is desired. 

To be successful in this position, the individual hired will possess the following skills and abilities (but not limited to): 

  • Communicate effectively and timely, verbally and in writing. 
  • Exhibit a professional, businesslike appearance and demeanor. 
  • Advanced computer skills including use of MO, Google platform, Adobe Creative Cloud, virtual meeting and project management software. 
  • Update and layout out web content utilizing a CMS, content management system. 
  • Create social media content and post across multiple platforms. 
  • Advanced skills on the effective utilization of digital email marketing campaign software. 
  • Professionally represent the agency and public, private and parochial school districts in interactions with staff, customers and community. 
  • Utilize the agency’s CRM to facilitate marketing campaigns. 
  • Work independently and as a team; collaborate effectively with agency leadership. 
  • Set and meet high standards of customer service (internal and external). 
  • Plan, organize and prioritize work. 
  • Excellent time-management with ability to manage schedules and meet deadlines. 
  • Work accurately with close attention to detail.

This position is eligible for full-time benefits through CESA 6 including participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System.
