Summary of Position & Who We Are Looking For:

This position is an integral part of the food cultures and enzymes (FC&E) business development and marketing team. The marketing manager contributes to our success by leading the regional marketing strategy & its execution and working closely with the business development leader and the sales teams. This position is accountable for effective customer events, accurate product positioning and trend analysis. Responsibilities and essential job functions would include, but are not limited to:

Marketing plan and strategy

  • Responsible for defining the marketing priorities and setting up a yearly plan and budget 
  • Develops marketing strategies to communicate new product introductions and innovations to support the sales organization in reaching out or exceeding its budget 
  • Lead product launches in the Region and actively participates in sales training programs 
  • Oversees the positioning and communication of products’ USPs to the sales organization according to the regional strategy and needs and in line with the Global launch process. 
  • Supports the development process of new final goods in collaboration with the product manager, business development director and sales.

Develop business insights

  • Leverage market data and consumer studies to articulate trends analysis and drive actionable insights 
  • Create presentations with solutions selling approach 
  • Work closely with the associate marketing manager on the editorial line for advertisement and campaigns

Events and support to the sales organization

  • Has responsibility over the organization and budgeting of tradeshows 
  • Is an active stakeholders to engage with customers in specific events i.e. customer meetings, innovation days, etc. 
  • Represents North America in Global marketing forums

Process Improvement

  • Responsible for improving processes involving the marketing budget and activities 
  • Work closely with the Associate Marketing Manager to improve internal communication platforms

Summary of Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in a marketing manager role in the Food Industry, preferably in the BtoB business 
  • Experience in market research, tradeshows organization and solution-oriented presentations and reports 
  • Have a strong business perspective, as well as marketer’s critical thinking and communication skills 
  • Dairy ingredient industry knowledge a plus

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent grammar in both written and spoken English. 
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, SAP. 
  • Must be a self-starter that can prioritize their workday and function with minimal direct supervision. 
  • Ability to motivate teams, effectively communicate information and respond to questions from sales managers, customers and other employees in a professional manner. 
  • Ability to work in a global and matrix organization. 
  • Possess a high level of project management skills and able to handle and prioritize a high number of inquiries. 
  • Ability to make administrative, procedural or employment-related decisions in a dynamic environment. 
  • Travel may be required up to 40%
