We’re seeking a dynamic thinker and self-starter who has a passion for building a brand. We want someone who has a solid foundation in marketing and advertising and can bring smart, strategic ideas to the table. We’re a small but mighty team and we’re looking for a Marketing Manager who can take ownership of the brand and help bring our company to the next level.

Your job scope will span the entire consumer e-commerce shopping journey online as well as managing and executing marketing-related duties needed to support retail, sales and agency partners.

You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that attract consumers to the website and Amazon and you will be responsible for ensuring consumers have an easy and enjoyable shopping experience once they are on our site / Amazon.

You will monitor website traffic and execute initiatives that help increase consumer awareness and interest and ultimately e-commerce sales.

In addition, you will be responsible for managing our social media channels and email marketing programs.

You will be responsible for managing communication and support with our sales reps, retail partners, and agency partners as it relates to marketing strategies and tactics.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for owning and managing the marketing program. That includes all facets of marketing efforts from relations with sales reps and retailers to e-commerce channels. 
  • Responsible for daily e-commerce site integrity to ensure a smooth consumer purchase process. Ensure all product information is correct and accurate. Ensure inventory matches to product availability shown on the site.
  • Responsible for planning and managing site updates with latest seasonal promotions and new products with all necessary assets to create compelling product stories.
  • Responsible for working cross functionally to identify and prioritize items for priority placement, photography and copy is completed (working with others as needed), videos or other premium content planned for high priority items.
  • Responsible for executing the back-end content upload and coding as necessary.
  • Responsible for ensuring a premium & consistent e-commerce consumer experience with correct website functionality along with intuitive and consumer friendly navigation.
  • Monitor and analyze website traffic, usage patterns, conversion paths, etc. to understand shopping behavior, develop insights and make recommendations for optimizations.
  • Develop and execute strategies that grow e-commerce traffic, including targeted e-commerce marketing initiatives such as e-mail marketing and social media.
  • Develop and execute acquisition/lead generation strategies to grow consumer database for email marketing and catalog marketing.
  • Responsible for managing the Amazon Seller Central account including activities such as monitoring product page descriptions and images, customer relations (e.g., feedback, reviews and claims), promotions, inventory status, etc.
  • Responsible for sourcing and managing vendor / supplier relationships (i.e., printing, POS display, trade show material, etc.) needed to support sales team and retail partners.
  • Work closely with and support our marketing agency to plan and execute website design/updates, email campaigns and all digital marketing, including SEM, social (organic and paid) and display advertising campaigns. Identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.
  • Responsible for developing marketing collateral (e.g. writing blogs, emails, social copy, etc.) needed to support retail partners.
  • Responsible for owning content calendar for social and email programs. 

Who You Are:

You are someone who is passionate about creating a premium brand experience for young, active consumers. You have experience managing various aspects of an e-commerce site as well as managing e-commerce marketing initiatives and you are looking for an opportunity to grow. You have had specific experience in the following:

  • Experience managing an e-commerce website that requires updates on a regular cadence
  • Experience managing pay-per-click campaigns for an e-commerce brand
  • Experience managing email campaigns for an e-commerce brand
  • Experience managing affiliate campaigns for an e-commerce brand
  • Experience managing social content and paid campaigns for an e-commerce brand
  • Experience with digital campaign analytics and optimizations
  • Experience writing for an e-commerce brand
  • 2 to 3 years experience with the above 

Other desired qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and articulate ideas well
  • Strong holistic understanding of SEO, SEM, web analytics tools, website design, and CMS tools (Shopify)
  • Ability to understand KPIs for e-commerce and digital marketing, and determine strategy changes to optimize performance
  • Ability to manage the work and relationship with an outsourced digital marketing agency
  • Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central and / or willingness to learn and work with Amazon 
  • Self-starter with natural drive and ambition who is comfortable working remotely and independently

This position will start as a 1099 / independent contractor and will be remote. However, based on performance there is an opportunity for this position to evolve into full-time employment. At this time, we are looking for someone who can dedicate 20 – 30 hours per week.
