Assistant Marketing Manager for Ecolab USA Inc. in Saint Paul, MN to own and lead marketing activities, including business plan/strategy, P&L management, margin enhancement, innovation planning, and execution for the Food (Grocery Stores) and Non-Food (Departmental Stores) Retail segments.

  • Partner with global counterparts in setting and executing business objectives to drive profitable growth. 
  • Gather Voice-of-customer and Voice-of-business to understand evolving segment trends and competitor movements to adjust Ecolab’s service offerings and delivery. 
  • Lead cross-functional (RD&E, Finance, Operations, Sales, etc.) teams in developing executable go-to-market strategies and programs that help improve food safety, hygiene, and operational efficiency. 
  • Lead the planning and execution of Ecolab Pest’s involvement at national and international Trade Shows that focus on the Food/Non-Food Retail segments. 
  • Develop pricing strategies for Ecolab’s products and services to maximize value delivery for the customer and value capture for Ecolab. 
  • Develop and disseminate segment-focused thought leadership and knowledge resources that establish Ecolab’s credibility/leadership in the Pest Elimination space. 
  • Analyze complex primary and secondary data, building marketing narratives, and setting business priorities.

Requires:

  • Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field, plus three (3) years of experience as a Consultant, Marketing Manager, Manager Strategic Initiatives, or related occupation performing product/segment marketing and managing global programs, products, or services. 
  • Or, alternatively, Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field plus five (5) years of experience as a Consultant, Marketing Manager, Manager Strategic Initiatives, or related occupation performing product/segment marketing and managing global programs, products, or services. 

The candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) gathering (through interviews, field visits, surveys, and focus groups) and synthesizing segment, competitive, and global information to help shape go-to-market strategies. 
  • DE in leading project teams that help conceptualize, test, and commercialize product and program innovations that boost profitability and share. 
  • DE in designing and executing marketing strategies (product, pricing, positioning) that maximize the value proposition to the customer and the organization. 
  • DE in owing projects and programs that span regional and functional boundaries and have an impact across the organization.
  • DE in analyzing complex data sets using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, etc.), Visualization Tools (Power BI, Tableau), and SQL (Sequential Query Language) to derive business insights.
