Flex-O-Glass, a leading plastics manufacturer in the Chicago area is seeking a Marketing Manager. We are a third-generation family-owned company in its 98th year of operation. We extrude plastic products, primarily films, but also sheet and profile.

We have no outstanding debt; we own all equipment and buildings. We have three selling divisions: Warp Brothers manufactures products sold to distributors and consumers; Flex-O-Glass Packaging Division manufactures Industrial Packaging and Specialty films, primarily skin packaging film; Warp's Greenhouse Films Division manufactures films for covering greenhouses. Overview:

Manages and supports the development of communication for product and service information. Designs and implements marketing plans and product promotions. Guides marketing research projects. Assists with development of marketing strategic plans to improve market penetration and monitors effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages design and distribution of all marketing material, including digital media, hard copy brochures, mailings, and novelties. 
  • Analyzes market analysis, customer insights and trends to build successful strategies 
  • Develops, executes, and measures performance of annually-budgeted marketing plans - including branding, advertising and national trade shows 
  • Manages all aspects of national and customer trade show events. 
  • Promotes company and company products via social media efforts 
  • Supports packaging development by leading design efforts 
  • Works with sales to ensure customer-leads are distributed and followed up on in a timely manner; monitors leads to close 
  • Responsible for website and email management and administration 
  • Responsible for overseeing all functions of the Mail Room. 
  • Leads trademark registration applications and renewals 
  • Travel up to 10%

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or business-related field 
  • 5-7 years' experience in manufactured goods environment 
  • Proficient in online and social media marketing vehicles 
  • Creative yet metrics-driven 
  • MS Office Proficiency: Excel-including formulas and graphing, PowerPoint 
  • Represents the company at trade shows and business networking events. Sets up exhibits which can involve bending, stooping, and lifting
