Position Details

Marketing Manager
Northern Illinois
Lake Zurich, IL

We currently have an opportunity for a Marketing Manager in Medical Devices responsible for customer program management and marketing support for the North America plasma business, to include supporting business operations, managing the product portfolio and executing on initiatives to achieve profitable business growth.


  • Execute a variety of tactics and programs to support the overall product strategy, including development of marketing materials. 
  • Act as the primary liaison with national account customers on key collaboration initiatives and projects; 
  • Enroll cross functional team members as needed to meet project milestones. 
  • Manage the small volume plasma, veterinary and specialty diagnostic customer segments.
  • Support the management of pilots and evaluations for new protocols and enhancements to plasmapheresis devices, disposables and DXT data management. 
  • Support customers with validation and approval for obsolescence and material change projects across the product portfolio and manage the transition internally to assure timely and seamless conversions. 
  • Support implementation of software upgrades in collaboration with customers and plasma consultant field team. 
  • Support competitive intelligence database through regular review of CRM, direct field and customer feedback, industry and scientific publications and market research as needed. 
  • Follow up on, resolve and respond to field and customer inquiries for product and technical information.


  • Bachelor’s degree required. Marketing or Life Science degree preferred. 
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years sales, marketing and/or product management experience in a healthcare related field. 
  • Experience in blood or plasma business preferred. 
  • Self-starter: Motivated, flexible, resourceful and adept at dealing with ambiguous situations as well as conflicting or multiple deadlines. 
  • Analytics skills: Ability to analyze data and information to support decision recommendations. 
  • Interpersonal skills: Having the ability to successfully work across multiple business functions including but not limited to: research and development, manufacturing, finance, customer service, sales, marketing and technical service. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Travel to key customer accounts and industry meetings as needed; average travel 10%.
