This is a multifaceted role with responsibility for managing marketing communication plans for multiple business segments, coordinating and managing tradeshow events (Pre-, during and post-), managing social media communications, monitoring competitor activities and messaging, and working with internal and external resources to create and publish content valued by our customers. The objective of the overall marketing team is to support sales team efforts and generate new business for the 4 business segments of Genuine Cable Group, a leading provider of wire, cable and related items to a diverse group of industries, including telecommunications, construction, the auto industry and the U.S. military.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in development of ongoing communication plans targeting customers and prospects for each target group 
  • Manage execution of marketing plans, working with internal and external resources on content development, and utilizing marketing best practices to generate leads and incremental revenue 
  • Work with business segment leaders and marketing leadership to schedule tradeshow exhibits 
  • Coordinate and contribute to planning of event messaging and set-up planning to maximize impact and return 
  • Initiate and coordinate pre-show communications to draw traffic during tradeshow, and post-show communication to maximize impact of event 
  • Work with show management on booth space and requirements (Power, tables, chairs, etc.), and coordinate shipment of booth, product samples and other necessary materials to ensure on-time delivery 
  • Coordinate ordering of company apparel, ensuring brand consistency and availability With input from business segment leaders and marketing leadership coordinate, schedule and execute social media postings, ensuring alignment with brand messaging 
  • Utilize internal and external resources to create and publish content that is valued by customers

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Excellent scheduling and time-management skills 
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and ability to implement effective marketing strategies and tactics 
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and meet deadlines 
  • Attention to detail

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or equivalent experience 
  • Three to Five years of experience in marketing management, tradeshow coordination and social media management 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and one or more of the primary e-mail marketing program 
  • Experience with Hubspot a plus
