The Position:

The Marketing Manager supports the Kaufman Hall Marketing and Thought Leadership departments and consulting practices in development, review, refinement, distribution, and tracking of client-facing materials and events. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple projects from multiple internal customers, have a good eye for visual and verbal detail, and closely monitor and meet deadlines.

The Job Involves:

  • Partnering with entire marketing group to support strategic objectives, analyze results and recommend new programs and processes as we continue to grow 
  • Data analysis for marketing database (Salesforce) – acquiring new accounts, contacts, and coordinating data hygiene initiatives 
  • Using marketing automation and CRM to execute strategic campaigns 
  • Tracking marketing campaign success, analyzing results, and communicating to key stakeholders 
  • Facilitating webinars (end-to-end coordination and execution of live webinars) 
  • Developing product marketing collateral, editing for accuracy 
  • Supporting on-site production of our annual fall conference (in Chicago) 
  • Monitoring Marketing e-mail inquiries, including client support and determining if Kaufman Hall is a good fit for their needs

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing 
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with all levels of seniority 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint 
  • Proficiency in Excel (Vlook up, pivot tables, etc.) 
  • Experience with Salesforce strongly preferred with demonstrated understanding of data hygiene best practices 
  • Experience with Marketo strongly preferred 
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely, and to edit for clarity and correctness 
  • Solution oriented with proven analytical skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects 
  • Self-starter, good at prioritizing and self-management 
  • Commitment to execution and attention to detail 
  • Ability to build trust and work collaboratively 
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, analyze, and solve problems 
  • Utilizes technology to maximize efficiency and effectiveness on all projects 
  • Superb written and oral communication skills 
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency Required

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing or related field, or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations. 
  • Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Work Environment:

  • Travel Required: 0% 
  • The role is primarily remotely based, with the need to come to the Chicago or Skokie office a few times per month. 
  • Work is regularly performed in a combination of home office and in office settings, and routinely uses standard office equipment.
