The Marketing Manager supports Loyola Medicine’s marketing and communications team in executing creative production of marketing, digital and social media for service lines of the health system. The manager will work closely with other members of the marketing team, including digital marketing, communications and media relations staff members to implement projects to achieve growth and support strategic goals for the health system.

This role is responsible for independently managing operational marketing work and closely coordinating with the rest of the marketing and communications team. Strong interpersonal client relationship skills are vital as the position works closely with local presidents, physicians, service line leaders and other key stakeholders. The person in this role will have a thorough knowledge of integrated brand marketing, digital marketing, event management and the planning/execution of marketing strategies. Simultaneously manages multiple projects and coordinates monthly ROI tracking reports.

Excellent communications and writing skills are critical to overseeing marketing projects which may include advertising, articles, social media and web content. Must be deadline driven and have the ability to anticipate needs for timely communications.

This position requires some driving to our Westchester and main campus locations.

Essential Functions:

  • Writes and implements creative plans for hospital services, service lines and health system initiatives. 
  • Writes creative promotional materials, including consumer-facing and physician-facing promotional and marketing materials. 
  • Creates written and visual content for consumer blog, manages production process, gains approvals for posting.
  • Supports marketing or employee events, as necessary. 
  • Has oversight at a regional and/or statewide level regarding specific marketing tactics. This could be in the form of medical groups, digital marketing, CRM, service line, etc. 
  • Contributes to plans and executes strategies with hospital presidents, Marketing and Communications leaders, service line leaders and key physician groups that support growth of the organization. 
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively articulate marketing objectives and strategies to internal and external audiences. 
  • Manages local/regional messaging strategies, and coordinates with third-party media buyer and other vendors when appropriate. 
  • Seamlessly coordinates with social media, PR and internal communications teams to provide effective promotional solutions. 
  • Leads digital marketing acquisition campaigns. 
  • Works with service line leaders and regional Marketing team to create opportunities for promotion through social media, media relations and advertising. 
  • Identifies/manages new marketing opportunities in the community. 
  • Leads major consumer events, working with the regional Marketing team. 
  • Writes and edits professional presentations in a variety of multi-media formats (PowerPoint, video and in-house TV formats). 
  • Assists with managerial and editorial oversight for local branded design, working with Regional Directors of Marketing and Communications as needed. 
  • Provides writing and proofing skills for a variety of correspondence, reports and other assignments as needed. 
  • Other duties as assigned by Regional Director of Marketing that support regional branding and marketing activities.
  •  Maintains confidentiality of information pertaining to patients, clients, associates and vendors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited program in marketing, communications, business or related field required. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in communications, journalism, marketing, business or related field producing professional marketing/promotional content. 
  • Valid driver's license in the State of IL
