The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing each property’s strategic marketing plan and supporting the growth of Magnolia Capital’s management platform, STYL Residential.

The properties are predominantly multifamily with locations throughout the country, and the Marketing Manager will be responsible for each Digital Asset performance including lead conversions, advertising performance, website management, and media development. We are looking for an exceptional individual who can implement an effective, creative vision and can see their vision through from concept to completion.

This position is based in Chicago and will report to the Managing Director of Asset Management & Operations.

Essential Duties:

  • Oversee and lead branding efforts on behalf of Magnolia Capital, and its portfolio of assets and platforms 
  • Develop and execute the marketing plan for each property 
  • Manage each property’s digital asset creation and performance 
  • Curate and develop media and content for website, email, blogs, social, etc. 
  • Online brand management and promotion to drive quality leads to the property website & sales team 
  • Ensure websites and all marketing content achieves objectives, remains fresh & relevant 
  • Optimization of website & social media channels for SEO, SEM and UX 
  • Tracking of website performance through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager and other analytics systems 
  • Monitor the property’s Customer Feedback loop including online reviews and survey program, work with onsite teams to improve their Online Reputation Management (ORM) 
  • Lead generation, cost per lead and lead effectiveness tracking 
  • Manage third-party advertising agency 
  • Tracking of all leads through the sales process – lead to tour, tour to app, app to lease, lead to lease 
  • Conversion tracking of all advertising sources (Organic search leads, PPC leads, ILS leads, craigslist, social, etc.) 
  • Working with onsite sales teams to ensure all leads are properly handled/followed up 
  • Communicate with Director of Asset Management and Director of Operations about digital marketing goals and results 
  • Creation of annual marketing plans and budgets, and monitor spending to stay on budget 
  • Creation of strategies and reporting that track key digital asset KPI’s, and creation of reports or proposals distributed to key stakeholders 
  • Keep up-to-date and continuously test new technology offered by 3rd parties that drive results

Who We Are Looking For:

The ideal candidate will meet the following attributes:

  • 4-6 years of experience in online/digital marketing, business to consumer, within a high growth organization. Specific real estate marketing experience preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team, and managing third-party agency performance 
  • Experience in the development and management of marketing, advertising, lead generation, and lead nurturing initiatives 
  • Specialized knowledge of digital strategies for optimum property and portfolio performance, including best practices for websites, ILS’, Craigslist, SEO, SEM and digital data aggregators 
  • Superior computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (required), including an expert in Microsoft PowerPoint 
  • Experience with property management platforms and the RealPage product suite (preferred) 
  • Excellent presentation skills and experience presenting to Executives 
  • Some travel required, could be on short notice 
  • Self-confident, decisive, resilient with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 
  • Problem solver, team player with an ownership mentality 
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to interact with people of all levels both inside and outside of the organization
  • Strong organization, detail orientation, initiative, decision making, sense of urgency, collaboration and communication skills
