Initially, this position will be remote, and then depending on timing could either report out of the Chicago office located in Edison Park or downtown Chicago. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel as needed to client offices.

Morreale Communications has an opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join our award-winning team and lead our strategic brand vision. As one of the fastest growing public relations firms in Chicago, we are looking to add an mid-level Marketing Manager who will work closely with firm leadership and colleagues throughout the organization to position us as the visible market leader and contribute to our strategic growth objectives.

As Marketing Manager, you will be Morreale’s brand champion, you’re on top of the latest marketing trends, are detail-oriented and a great communicator with a passion for strategic thinking. This position will direct the production and execution of internal and external content, including but not limited to our website, SharePoint, newsletters, email, press releases, videos, awards, social media channels and other assets. You will support leadership in designated marketing activities including new client introductions, research, interviews and speaking engagements, preparing tailored marketing collateral as needed. You will also lead the strategy and execution of new business proposals throughout the cycle, including interview planning and rehearsals, ensuring developed project strategies are compellingly portrayed in presentation materials while coaching team participants with messaging.

This role is ideal for someone who likes both developing and implementing strategy, including content creation and multi-tasking to support many ongoing projects. You will lead the marketing and communication across multiple platforms from building the strategy, to executing, and using data to determine efficacy and adjust according to needs and feedback. Influence, strategy, storytelling and organization are key skills needed to be successful in this role.

Job Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy and Execution

  • Develop, implement and manage marketing strategy and editorial calendar that integrates the organization’s strategic vision into all elements of internal and external communication, business development and marketing 
  • Own and manage the production and execution of internal and external content, including but not limited to our website, SharePoint, newsletters, email, press releases, videos, awards, social media channels and other assets 
  • Support leadership and position us as the visible market leader through designated marketing activities including new client introductions, interviews and securing speaking engagements, thought leadership preparing tailored marketing collateral to shape perception 
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them 
  • Train, coach, and lead direct reports while contributing expertise to a team of professional communicators 
  • In collaboration with the Chief Strategy Officer, develop and manage the budget for marketing 
  • Communicate results on an ongoing basis; define, analyze, and interpret key marketing metrics; track and maximize efficacy and adjust according to needs and feedback 
  • Attend industry events to gain insight and perspective to help establish a competitive advantage

Proposal Management

  • Lead the strategy and execution of new business proposals, supervising the marketing team in the layout, writing and editing of all proposals 
  • Ensure CRM database is maintained and fully integrated into marketing strategy execution
  • Participate in interview planning and rehearsals, ensuring developed project strategies are compellingly portrayed in presentation materials while coaching team participants with messaging 
  • Interpret client intelligence to develop compelling proposal and presentation content 
  • Source and screen opportunities before passing on to business development team
  •  Schedule and lead debriefs of project pursuits 
  • Manage proposal printing and delivery process

Position Qualifications:

  • Five plus years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, public relations, marketing, communications, or a related field 
  • Detail-oriented visionary with a command of marketing work processes, an eye for typos and managing concurrent workflow and support staff 
  • Enjoy working on multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of successfully bringing them from conception to completion 
  • Expertise in InDesign and PowerPoint is required; working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and database programs like Deltek is preferable 
  • Vendor management experience including videography, printing and creatives a plus 
  • Excellent communicator able to work with a range of personalities at all levels of an organization.

Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000 (based on experience).
