Mounds Pet Food warehouse is an employee-owned,  locally operated pet food and pet supply company located in Wisconsin with four locations:  Janesville, Madison West, Madison East and Sun Prairie.

Mounds is seeking a Marketing Manager at our corporate office in Sun Prairie, WI. This position is a full-time, on-site position.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Marketing Manager engages in the planning, implementation, and creative development of marketing and community outreach activities necessary to ensure Mounds is the preferred destination for pets and the people who love them. 

This is an opportunity for the right person to take our Marketing initiatives to unbelievable heights! Why? Because the Mounds Marketing Manager is THE MOUNDS MARKETING DEPARTMENT.  The buck doesn’t stop with you: You are the buck. Or, in this case, the one and only HOUND.

  • Create and manage print and digital ads, including monthly promotional signage
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns and email marketing for different customer groups
  • Manage content for social media, the company website, and blog posts
  • Update e-commerce item images and descriptions as needed
  • Work with media contacts to coordinate and ensure media plans are executed
  • Plan and organize company events
  • Collaborate with rescue organizations on fundraising opportunities and partnerships
  • Oversee the Mounds Brand Ambassador Program
  • Review billing for marketing-related services
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am – 4:30 pm
  • Occasional overtime and staffing weekend events is required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn new software programs
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Expertise with Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Monday.com, and Mailchimp for creating and managing marketing materials and campaigns
