We are seeking a Marketing Manager for the creative management of communications that help educate members about their pharmacy benefit services. The Marketing Manager requires strong project management skills and experience leading and coordinating creative projects across multiple channels. This role will manage several projects simultaneously, identify and initiate process improvements, and engage cross - functional teams to meet deliverables and deadlines. It will also build relationships with internal stakeholders and support a consumer - centric approach in the development of member communications across all lines of OptumRx business.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the creative development of communication project - this includes defining stakeholder requirements, creating content, incorporating stakeholder revisions, providing clear direction to creative partners, adhering to internal and external communications standards, routing for final reviews, and ensuring timely delivery of work product 
  • Contribute towards communication strategies; add value to strategic brainstorming sessions; provide suggestions for the development of tactical deliverables that follow best practices 
  • Develop and present strategies or creative briefs to leadership and / or key stakeholders to achieve buy - in, gather insights and facilitate the evolution of communication projects 
  • Assist with campaign or communications project reporting; monitor the execution of communications projects, report on outcomes and performance against targeted KPIs 
  • Develop communications tailored to specific medium and audience requirements; demonstrate excellent writing abilities and instinct in adapting to style and tone to meet the needs of the message, audience or channel 
  • Manage project expenses and vendor relationships - capture and deliver requirements, gather estimates, obtain approvals, track costs against budget, track projects against timelines, and submit invoices for payment 
  • Monitor feedback on communications and address questions or concerns as appropriate; follow up with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) OR High School Diploma / GED (or higher) with 5+ years in a similar role 
  • 5+ years of communications, public relations or marketing experience 
  • 5+ years project management experience within a matrix organization 
  • 5+ years of professional writing and editing experience 
  • 5+ years experience with the full suite of Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Outlook (have the ability to communicate), Microsoft Word (have the ability to create documents), Microsoft Excel ( have the ability to create spreadsheets) and Microsoft PowerPoint (have the ability to create presentations)

Preferred requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Communications, Public Relations or Marketing

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to clarify, manage and prioritize several deliverables 
  • Proven organizational skills
