In this fast-paced, high energy environment where great guest service is essential, how do we keep guests informed about all the exciting things happening at Potawatomi Hotel and Casino? As a Marketing Manager, you will lead by identifying and assigning work to the marketing account teams, demonstrate top notch leadership skills, and ensure guest satisfaction. While carrying out the job duties listed below, you will contribute to our continued success by demonstrating unsurpassed guest service, a high level of integrity and ethical standards, and personal and professional dedication to our mission, vision, and values.

  1. Oversee the Account team to ensure proper planning, development, and execution of property creative & marketing projects; act as a senior point of contact with Business Owners for all jobs that require Marketing Division support. 
  2. Work with the Creative team and other business stakeholders to ensure all messaging is strategic, on brand, on time, within budgets and visually appealing. 
  3. As necessary develop creative briefs, provide direction and make suggestions to achieve marketing goals. 
  4. Act as a liaison between external departments and our internal marketing team to ensure all appropriate parties have necessary information to achieve marketing goals. 
  5. Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training team members; scheduling and motivating team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members up to and including termination; addressing complaints; and resolving problems. 
  6. Maintain a culture of innovation by staying informed of marketing trends to ensure PH&C is embracing the current research, data and opportunities. 
  7. Coordinate and track all necessary contracts between outside parties, Legal department, and appropriate PH&C departments in a timely manner. 
  8. Assist Marketing Director in various marketing strategies to ensure all advertising efforts are in line with the properties overall goals and objectives; and in developing and implementing fiscal marketing budgets to ensure maximum utilization. 
  9. Maintain a strong liaison with all internal departments to ensure communication is clear and transparent. Establish, update, and ensure full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations. 
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field and 4 years of experience in marketing or community relations are required. If no degree, seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in marketing or community relations is required. 
  2. Two years of supervisory/management experience is preferred. 
  3. Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and general knowledge of Microsoft Office. 
  4. The ability to use strong organization skills and attention to detail to accurately handle multiple job duties and projects in a fast-paced environment. 
  5. The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information. 
  6. The ability to interact with and understand the interests of stakeholders at all levels, as well as the impact of those interests on PH&C and its goals. The ability to communicate effectively before groups of guests or team members of the organization. 
  7. Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays. 
  8. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the office and property for duration of scheduled shift. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.The team member must be able to operate a personal computer. The team member is required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with assistance. Team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  

    Working Conditions 

    The noise level is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor or at sponsorship events and festivals the noise level increases. The work environment is smoke free, when on the casino floor it is not smoke free. While performing the duties of this job the team member is exposed to outdoor weather conditions and will be required to drive a personal vehicle.
