Dr. David Stern has taken the company from the basement of an urgent care clinic to a 250-employee operation.

Starting in 2002, Dr. Stern worked with Drs. John Koehler, FACEP, and Terry Buzzard, FACEP, to develop an urgent care-specific electronic medical record and practice management software. The three physicians collaborated with a team of programmers to design and launch PiVoTs. The modified EMR template went live in six clinics that year. Practice Velocity introduced PVMSM practice management software in 2006. A year later the company launched PV Billing services, and in 2009 the company unveiled VelociDoc™. The award-winning electronic medical record for urgent care and occupational medicine centers is now used by 99 percent of Practice Velocity clients.

In 2014, the company moved into new headquarters in a renovated Kohl’s department store in the former Machesney Park Mall. The headquarters features an open-concept design, with collaborative meeting spaces that fosters teamwork. Job Summary:

Practice Velocity is currently looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to lead and coordinate Practice Velocity’s Marketing team to produce consistent growth through industry events and effective, cutting-edge cross-media marketing campaigns. The Marketing Manager will provide support to all marketing functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and define prospective targets for company product and service growth within niche market segments.
  • Develop ROI-based marketing plans, sales strategies, and action plans for identified targets of opportunity that clearly define objectives, goals, win strategies, schedules, and action assignments. 
  • Plan, manage, and continuously improve robust cross-media marketing programs which include a combination of CRM direct marketing (both digital and print), digital advertising, social media marketing, print advertising, and content marketing. 
  • Maintain a served-market analysis defining the total market, company market share, competitor market share, and available market share by product market. Work with business development to update and control forecasts covering projected new business sales and business retention. 
  • Strategize, plan, execute, and monitor internet marketing campaigns including paid positioning, remarketing, and retargeting. 
  • Serve as the chief steward of the Practice Velocity brand and closely held companies. Work to develop brand identities for new/acquired entities. 
  • Develop rich content marketing campaigns designed to drive SEO and customer engagement. 
  • Channel development Plan and implement Practice Velocity's public relations activities. Represent Practice Velocity at civic and professional functions. 
  • Work with digital design and development teams to improve and maintain PV internet properties. 
  • Oversee the development of new websites and landing pages to support marketing programs and new products/acquisitions. 
  • Review reports and analysis from the search engine optimization and sales department to strengthen marketing efforts and increase ROI. Simultaneously manage multiple search engine marketing campaigns. 
  • Supervise, evaluate, and counsel the Marketing staff.

Qualifications:

  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Google Analytics; and Adwords 
  • Proficiency in WordPress, SalesFusion, CRM, MOZ, and other web analytic tools. 
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work effectively under stress, meet short deadlines, and take directions. 
  • Good knowledge of accounting and finance to analyze and evaluate marketing programs and pricing policies. 
  • Demonstrated creative ability to evaluate advertising and promotional programs. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to lead an enthusiastic and competent marketing staff. 
  • Ability to identify problems and implement or recommend solutions. 
  • Ability to organize work effectively to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to effectively interact with clients, prospective clients and employees. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion and tact. 

Education and Experience:

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in business administration or marketing, or equivalent experience. 
  • At least five years of experience in marketing. 
  • At least five years of experience in Web marketing with increasingly broad responsibilities. 
  • Experience leading a team preferred. 
  • Prefer a candidate with previous experience in the software or healthcare industry.
