Scope: Skilled, high-energy manager to lead our marketing department to generate awareness and demand for the products DSC sells and to strengthen and extend the DSC corporate brand holding direct responsibility for all corporate marketing activities. The Marketing Manager also directly manages the following categories of marketing programs: Public Relations and multi-media communication Social Media marketing LAR/VAR and Retail Customer & Vendor Projects.

Accountabilities:

  • Oversight and direction of company’s online & e-commerce activities
  • Corporate image/branding
  • Customer segment “go to market” collaborative planning & materials production 
  • Vendor marketing campaigns and programs
  • Catalogs and price lists Seasonal promotions and related marketing materials
  • Track performance of marketing efforts
  • Manage direct reports to ensure that all work is completed at a high level of quality, meets the project objectives and is completed on time and within budget.
  • Additionally, help coach and mentor direct reports in order to help them further develop their skill sets and grow in their career
  • Manage marketing & MDF budgets to achieve targeted results
  • Responsible for maintenance, development and monitoring of Company's main website and departmental microsites.
  • Develop and execute online strategies that include search engine optimization, keyword search, search engine marketing and social media
  • Content creation – continuously work on corporate intranet and internet site developing and maintaining content, including but not limited to Fact sheets Case studies, best practices & white papers
  • Creation and implementation of annual marketing calendar and media kit
  • Manage the development, coordination, and implementation of merchandizing, strategies, promotions, annual marketing plans and programs for the assigned segments and vendors.
  • Define end-user and retailer needs in the channel and communicate to cross functional teams
  • Develop channel communication strategies, including collateral and advertising communications, email, trade show, print communications, internet, pop, merchandising and training programs
  • Drives and coordinates the development, implementation, monitoring and engagement of marketing, online and social media programs
  • Works with vendors and customers to leverage partnership opportunities and drive revenue for marketing platforms
  • Constantly explore, recommend, use and optimize communication methods, vehicles and technologies to engage with various audiences
  • Creation and implementation of press releases and public relations initiatives (across all segments, vendors and business units)
  • Create a schedule of news releases and proactively coordinate content to keep The Douglas Stewart Company in the news
  • Ensuring that the company’s corporate branding is executed as appropriate in all communications through press releases, corporate advertising, and the company website.
  • Contributing in team activities, provide regular communication of productivity, and perform other responsibilities as conditions warrant.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  1. Minimum Knowledge and Skill Criteria: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a marketing team
  2. Excellent editing and proofing abilities
  3. Working knowledge of digital marketing tools; including blogs, video, and websites
  4. Ability to handle, prioritize and organize multiple tasks while expecting constant change;
  5. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products: including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint;
  6. Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience
  7. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), interpersonal skills and requires a high level presentation skills and professionalism.
  8. Strong analytic skills - ability to produce actionable research findings and communicate to internal stakeholders and external clients
  9. Creative thinker and problem-solver - ability to come up with new ideas and messaging concepts that meet current and future business objectives
