This individual contributor will be responsible for assisting with the development of core messaging, positioning, and branding of new OptumHealth bundled health care product solutions. This individual will be on point to translate bundled product messaging and positioning into value stories and sales support materials, as well as digital assets on Optum.com and other digital platforms. This individual will also play a role in developing content, planning, executing, measuring and optimizing B2B campaigns for OptumHealth multi-product solutions.

Additionally, this role will assist in the development of presentations and executive scripts for high profile industry events. This position will maintain a working knowledge of OptumHealth businesses key differentiators, as well as the competitive landscape. This individual will partner across the OptumHealth portfolio with key business and sales leaders to understand customer needs, the sales cycle and the pipeline in order to effectively support the sales process, drive lead generation, and promote customer retention.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop core messaging, positioning, and brand strategies to support new OptumHealth bundled product solutions 
  • Own the translation of the messaging, positioning and branding story on Optum.com and other digital platforms 
  • Develop compelling thought leadership content (white papers, webinars/presentations, infographics, e-books, etc.) that position OptumHealth as a leader in the market 
  • Work closely with the product and sales team to understand buyer needs and pain points, the sales cycle, and maintain a working knowledge of the current pipeline in order to target key prospects with thoughtful content at various stages of the buyer journey
  • Create, execute, measure and optimize integrated marketing campaigns that drive demand and customer retention for OptumHealth 
  • Evaluate and help coordinate event and speaking engagement opportunities and work with subject matter experts to develop presentations and collateral to be used at events 
  • Work cross-functionally with the external communications, web/digital, social and audience engagement teams to identify available marketing levers, build, execute and measure the success of campaigns 
  • Leverage internal and external creative resources for content development 
  • Develop processes that streamline content development, campaign execution and measurement

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of marketing experience within a matrix organization
  • 3 years of experience managing and prioritizing several deliverables
  • Strong writing, communication and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated success planning, executing and measuring marketing campaigns in a complicated, matrixed organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience managing multiple programs and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity
  • A natural network builder that seeks out experts across the organization and that is comfortable dealing with executives at all levels

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Strongly Preferred
  • Understanding of typical B2B sales processes, opportunity pipeline management and reporting
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and marketing automation platforms
  • Previous experience with Account Based Marketing (ABM) tools and techniques
