Responsibilities:

This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing Communications, who oversees marketing and branding for the College. A member of the College Marketing Communications team, this individual maintains a close working relationship with the Director of Graduate Admissions and the Graduate School.

The primary responsibilities of the position are to develop and execute successful marketing and communication strategies that are measurable, enhance enrollment efforts, and reinforce the brand of the Wheaton College Graduate School. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing marketing and communication strategies for 18 programs across the three schools of Psychology Counseling & Family Therapy, Mission, Ministry & Leadership (MML) and Biblical and Theological Studies (BTS) in addition to the two professional teaching programs.

Duties:

  1. Design, manage, and measure effectiveness (ROI and conversion rates) of Marketing Communication Plan to drive conversions throughout the Graduate recruitment funnel. 
  2. Project manage and write copy for videos, brochures, ads, program sheets, web content, social media. 
  3. Manage email campaigns for purchased lists. Collect content, track & troubleshoot issues, report on delivery rates & links accessed, resolve data errors, research/track website site usage, and recommend developments to increase traffic. 
  4. Effectively deploy e-mail marketing, social media marketing, and various CRM tools. 
  5. Collaborate with Graduate Admissions for the execution of recruitment event marketing/advertisement, coordination of promotional items, and support of faculty participation at events. 
  6. Develop content and be responsible for updating the Graduate School web pages. This includes regularly updating of photography, video, text, and forms. 
  7. Execute online advertising and digital marketing strategies. 
  8. Conduct focus groups and other necessary research prior to execution to test strategies. 
  9. Oversee the Graduate School Instagram and Facebook accounts, regularly updating it to increase traffic on the Graduate School web pages. 
  10. Supervise graduate student marketing assistant to update the Graduate School webpages and provide necessary media for content. 
  11. Manage the Graduate Admissions marketing budget. 
  12. Attend or staff conferences, such as URBANA, as needed. 
  13. Attend weekly Graduate Admissions team meetings to collaborate with the Graduate Admissions team and to keep aware of recruitment funnel progress and opportunities.
  14. Attend weekly Marketing Communications “Story by Design” meeting to share story ideas and collaborate with fellow team members. 
  15. Attend Marketing Communications weekly “Social Media” meeting to share story ideas and collaborate with fellow marketing team members. 
  16. Complete other marketing responsibilities as needed. 
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. At least 3-5 years of experience leading measurable, successful marketing initiatives. 
  2. Experience using CRM tools preferred. 
  3. Budget management experience. 
  4. BA required. 
  5. Experience in higher education preferred.
