The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing innovative, multi-channel marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to increase brand equity and market share for the Wisconsin Historical Society. This includes revenue and attendance generation for the Society’s multiple historic sites/museums located throughout the State. This role works cross-functionally within the marketing communications team, as well as in collaboration with colleagues throughout the organization, to successfully achieve measurable results to goal across a wide project portfolio.
The Marketing Manager also serves as a day-to-day liaison with an outside agency in the development and execution of all paid advertising strategies. A data-driven, results-oriented mindset is essential in this position, as is the ability to leverage quantitative and qualitative insights to meet KPIs. The ideal candidate for this position will be creative, strategic, detail-oriented, and a highly driven, professional communicator who enjoys the challenge of working both independently and collaboratively within a highly-matrixed organization. This role supervises the marketing coordinator and digital marketing strategist.
The Marketing Manager is part of a fast-paced, in-house Wisconsin Historical Foundation team that includes marketing, communications, content, public relations, social media, graphic design, video/photo and digital professionals who work to grow awareness of the Wisconsin Historical Society portfolio.
