The Marketing Operations Manager is an individual contributor on a B2B marketing operations team. The marketing operations team is responsible for marketing-related annual budgeting, planning processes, vendor & contract management, and marketing process management.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Tracks actual marketing budgets against forecast and escalates potential misses to director of marketing operations 
  • Processes invoices and accruals, approves expenses, manages corporate charge card reporting and approvals
  • Manages marketing campaign establishment and budget tracking. 
  • Maintains and manages third party provider listing; this includes vendor names, renewal dates, users, uses, and costs 
  • Meets regularly with Marketing Leadership Team on annual budget status and questions 
  • Coordinates quarterly operational meetings with Marketing Leadership Team Members 
  • Oversees marketing time tracking and compliance 
  • Manages prioritized list of Marketing Initiatives and routinely communicate projects and priorities across Marketing Leadership Team 
  • Oversees management of our Marketing Demand Center operations 
  • Oversees vendor relationships for marketing operations technologies, including Digital Asset Management System, Campaign Budgeting and Planning 
  • Creates strategies to improve and expand processes aimed at increasing process efficiencies 
  • Creates and maintains standard operating procedures/templates and proactively identify and implement operational improvements 
  • Assists team with ad hoc requests for reporting, functionality, and process questions

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent required

Background/Experience:

  • 5+ years in an operations focused role (ideally supporting marketing orgs) 
  • 3+ years experience in marketing operational tools (preferably Allocadia, Workfront) or other project management tools 
  • Experience serving, collaborating with, and influencing stakeholders
  • B2B marketing, particularly demand generation workflows and marketing best practices 
  • Marketing technology knowledge 
  • Experience in finance 
  • Project management experience is desirable

  • Ability to work with diverse skill sets (from technical to strategic resources) and ease with navigating across multiple functions
