Marketing Proposal Manager

The Marketing Proposal Manager works in our Minneapolis, MN office to promote Alliant to our clients through preparation of proposals that respond to client needs, outline our services, demonstrate our commitment to excellence, and differentiate Alliant in the marketplace. The proposal manager will be the point of contact for client proposals for internal customers at all levels of the organization and must demonstrate creativity, curiosity, poise, tactfulness, and diplomacy.

Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility for preparation of marketing proposals across Alliant services areas, working under leadership of the Director of Marketing. 
• Leads proposal response activities and coordinates content development in coordination with technical and marketing staff 
• Manages data with integrity across various platforms, including Alliant’s client relationship management (CRM) tool. 
• Facilitates proposal strategy and planning with project teams. 
• Works with graphic design staff to implement graphic design principles while balancing the need to successfully communicate technical messages. 
• Supports other marketing activities and team members as needed. 
• A commitment to investing in the development of working relationships with all members of Alliant’s team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of marketing experience. Experience working for professional services firm is required. 
• Previous experience preparing professional services technical proposals, with prior proposal leadership experience preferred. 
• Previous experience preparing technical proposals in the transportation and civil engineering sectors preferred. 
• Ability to organize large amounts of data and balance the needs of multiple complex projects and deadlines at once. 
• Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated commitment to engaging in quality control processes. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Active participation in the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) or the American Marketing Association (AMA) is desirable. 
• A “How can I help you?” attitude and the desire to assist technical team members integrate new projects into existing workloads, sometimes under tight deadlines. 
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). 
• A basic understanding of architecture/engineering/construction (A/E/C) processes and terminology is highly desired.
