The Marketing Research Analyst supports the development and ongoing management of the marketing and sales strategic plans and initiatives; manages the study of market conditions, company product sales, marketing tactics, product development, competitors' activities and consumer behavior as part of a dynamic marketing team.

To be proficient in this position, the individual must stay current with research and analytical advancements. This employee must consistently and independently problem solve and achieve objectives. When a third party is used to support the business, accurate analysis of work to be done and costs involved must be evaluated.

  • Collaborate with partners across the organization to develop the appropriate infrastructure (people, process, data, technology) to support the reporting and analytics process.
  • Support leadership on projects related to channel marketing, new product development, pricing, and market research. Run ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed.
  • Determine KPI/benchmarks, collect/analyze data, present trends & report campaign success.
  • Support sales and marketing initiatives including financial & strategic planning, reporting and management analysis.
  • Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and industry trends and leverage insights into actionable strategies.
  • Interact with Ecommerce, Amazon, Sales & IT teams to extract data and feedback to develop reports.
  • Mine data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganizing said data in a format that can be easily read and communicated.
  • Communicate marketing research and performance metrics with executive management team. Provide thoughts, insights, recommendations.
  • Create and publish of quarterly marketing insights summarizing market conditions, trends, competitors' activities, consumer behavior and sales and marketing programs.
  • Manage relationships with any third-party vendors, suppliers and partners.

Education and/or Experience:

* Bachelor’s degree in the areas of Marketing, Communication, Business, Information Technology or related field.
* With a minimum of 5 years in an analytical or research position within marketing departments, advertising or marketing agencies.
* Education may be substituted for 10+ years of relevant experience.

Computer Skills:

* To perform this job successfully, an individual must have proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; Excel and Word.
* Proficiency with HTML, Photoshop, online analytic programs (Google, Analytics, SiteCatalyst) a plus.
* Knowledge and experience in Salesforce CRM a plus.

Reasoning Ability:

* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
