Marketing Social Media & Content Specialist

The Social Media and Content Specialist focuses on developing and enhancing content to increase audience engagement through relevant content and social media strategies. It includes working with internal subject matter experts, internal or external creative and web teams, and other team members, to develop, write, edit and proofread content, ensuring it meets marketing goals and brand standards. This position has two main areas of focus: 1) Content Development, 2) Social Media Management.

Content Development

  • Write original content tailored for specific audiences across, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other platforms as necessary. 
  • Produce smart, engaging, industry-leading editorial and thought leadership content, to support marketing and other strategic initiatives. Content may include blogs, video scripts, presentations, web copy, case studies and white papers. 
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to generate new content and identify creative ways to repurpose, reformat and revise existing content into various output channels. 
  • Manage and update internal and external repositories of marketing assets. 
  • Participate in content strategy and planning alongside other team members. 
  • Identify content gaps and opportunities for Paid Search and Organic search.

Social Media Management

  • Execute the social media strategy and content calendar in support of brand and strategic goals. 
  • Manage the day-to-day social community across all social media channels, including posting content, ensuring timely responses, managing social media programs, and making sure the brand voice is carried out across all social media channels. 
  • As needed, attend live events in order to provide live coverage (photo, video, etc.) and social engagement. 
  • Oversee paid media promotions on social platforms from creating paid assets and managing budget to audience targeting and campaign ROI 
  • Gather, analyze and communicate on social media performance metrics using social management and website analytic tools 
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards for social media analytics to deliver standard analysis and reporting of day-to-day posts, campaigns and the social listening sphere. The goal is to evolve our content storytelling, increase engagement and loyalty, and ultimately increase earned media by maximizing our social voice.
  • Combination of education and experience generally acquired through the attainment of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5 years of related experience in disciplines such as content development, copywriting, and/or social media management. 
  • Exemplary writing, editing and communication skills, across both short-form messaging and longer-form editorial work. 
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively among teams and at all levels of an organization to successfully move projects forward 
  • High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and excellent organizational skills. 
  • Tech-savvy, with the ability to learn and use a variety of digital marketing tools for social media management (e.g., Social Studio), web content management (e.g. Sitecore, WordPress), and web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics). Google AdWords experience a plus. 
  • Familiarity with financial services a plus.
