GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Marketing Specialist assists with the development of overall marketing and advertising programs for the assigned division or business line and assists in ensuring the proper execution of the marketing programs.

This individual will assist in writing and editing external marketing communications. Must be able to deliver clear and consistent content that puts the customer at the center. Understand and apply relevant voice, tone and style guidelines regardless of channel or tactic. Have a passion for great writing.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with developing marketing plans to achieve marketing goals for assigned division or region. 
  • Coordinate content development and distribution for the Commercial Bank, including thought leadership articles and social posts 
  • Work with appropriate partners to ensure proper development of various forms of communication such as newsletters, ads, flyers, brochures, statement inserts, sales collateral, sales reporting, digital assets including email and online advertising, and servicing communication. 
  • Coordinate the production, distribution, and maintenance of the marketing material inventory. 
  • Track and audit campaign results. Recommend changes for improvement and report results. 
  • Assist with the development and execution of marketing tactics.
  • Effectively communicate with LOB and regional teams to generate new ideas and share best practices. 
  • Ensure all produced materials have necessary levels of approval. Maintain audit files and assist in all marketing and LOB audits. 
  • Support the company brand through the adherence to branding guidelines. 
  • May be responsible for managing some vendor relationships. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field. An equivalent combination of experience/education will be considered in lieu of a four-year degree. 
  • Two (2) or more years of job related work experience. 
  • Experience with copywriting and editing 
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills. 
  • Ability to multi-task and handle several projects simultaneously 
  • Good PC skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Good organizational and customer service skills.
