Marketing Specialist/Copywriter

Position Summary:

Delta Defense (the parent company of the USCCA) provides self-defense education, training, and legal protection for responsible gun owners across the country, but we also have one of the fastest-paced marketing teams in the state of Wisconsin.

We're growing, and growing fast...and a big portion of that growth can be attributed to our focus on Direct Response Marketing. (If you don't know what that is, look it up!)

This position requires a results-oriented Marketing Specialist who is creative and a marketer who's ready to make an impact on the company's bottom line. This role will coordinate marketing activities for various areas.

We seek an experienced Marketing Specialist / Copywriter to:

• Implements multi-channel marketing plans meant to promote the organization and its products
• Design campaigns for targeting specific market segments or focus on specific product lines
• Measure and analyzes campaign results to determine ROI.
• Write persuasive and compelling copy that's consistent with the USCCA voice and drives user action
• Write and edit copy for a wide range of marketing materials including sales pages, emails, direct mail pieces, digital ads, website content and video scripts
• Focus on direct response marketing
• Make decisions based on reason, research, and data
• Offer insight and ideas and collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Have keen insight into the minds of our target audience and be relied upon for the creation and implementation of marketing initiatives
• May provide leadership, coaching and or mentoring to others

You could be a great match for this position if you have:

• A degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications is preferred
• 4 to 7 years of experience in Marketing, including content creation and creating marketing content across many platforms
• Ability to be part of a team - an accountable team
• A passion for direct response marketing - across different channels
• Conceptual thinking and proven project management skills
• Industry knowledge of self-defense and firearms (A giant plus, but not required)
• The ability to come to an interview with knowledge about our company and what we do
• High standards for proofreading and attention to detail
• A constant hunger to learn and grow
• High standards, pay close attention to detail and are able to take constructive criticism well
• Proven time management skills in deadline-driven work
• Are proficient in G Suite and marketing automated software (i.e. SalesForce Marketing Cloud, Unbounce, VWO - A giant plus, but not required )
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with a creative team
