The Life Time Foundation Marketing Specialist will oversee all areas of marketing, communications and community management, including the development of strategic and expert content that will increase our visibility, awareness, and engagement with our communities, along with messaging and brand voice development, and the creation of assets that align with our mission and nutrition philosophy.

The Foundation Marketing Specialist will communicate with multiple key stakeholder audiences, including Team Members, Members, Advocates, school partner school district communities, community officials and the general public about who we are, what we do and why this work is critical to the health of children, our communities and our future. Through the development of multi-channel content, the Foundation Marketing Specialist also will help educate our audiences on the importance of eliminating 7 harmful ingredients from food they prepare and consume, along with how to advocate for and support our mission with a sense of urgency.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans, creates and manages the Life Time Foundation marketing, communications and social media strategy and calendar 
  • Develops or sources content for social media posts on our Facebook, Instagram, and internal communications channels (infographics, facts, images, video, recipes, etc.) 
  • Manages all internal agency projects (print, digital, video, and logo assets) from creative brief through delivery 
  • Oversees marketing, communications and paid social media budget 
  • Designs and maintains a portfolio of informational presentations to use for meetings and events 
  • Manages and grows the Life Time Foundation Advocacy program: The Good Food Fight 
  • Develops relationships with social media influencers, leveraging relationships to increase our brand awareness 
  • Serves as community engagement manager and grow audience sizes in each targeted communication channel 
  • Writes and designs quarterly school newsletters to be distributed to all of school partners and advocates 
  • Sources and promotes simple, Harmful-7-free, and kid-friendly recipes for social media, our website, newsletters, articles, etc. 
  • Serves as a spokesperson for the Foundation at public events nationally, as required 
  • Manages and updates the Life Time Foundation, Heroes for Health and Good Food Fight websites 
  • Utilizes digital marketing strategies to create comprehensive fundraising campaigns (e.g. Giving Tuesday) 
  • Provides monthly analytics and process improvement strategy to increase reach and impact, as well as year-end report or Infographic and quarterly reports to our Board of Directors and corporate leadership 
  • Supports all other marketing projects, strategy, writing and other program or fundraising initiatives as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field 
  • 5 to 10 years of related work experience 
  • Excellent written, oral communication, presentation and project management skills 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Strong team player 
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and execute within defined timelines and budgets 
  • Entrepreneurial, high-performance mind-set with ability to take initiative and connect resources as necessary and appropriate 
  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships with members and team members

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in dietetics or nutrition science field 
  • School nutrition programs knowledge and a personal interest in food system reform and the Life Time Foundation mission and advocacy 
  • 5 years of non-profit marketing and social media/communications experience required, specifically with content development and writing in the areas of health and family nutrition
