The Marketing Specialist is responsible for the support and project management of internally and externally-focused Business Development, Sales and Product marketing initiatives. This position works on moderately complex initiatives for key audiences, including writing tactical materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners and stakeholders to coordinate marketing initiatives for key audiences (Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) 
  • Plans, prospects, employer groups, physicians, pharmacists, members, etc.)
  • Influence development and execution of initiatives to ensure on time, on budget deliverables that meet tactical objectives; tactics include sell sheets, sales briefs, presentations, sales tool kits, web content, conference presentations, member letters, direct mail, emails, text messages, etc. 
  • Participate in the development of strategic marketing plans, including objectives and tactics 
  • Review creative execution to ensure output adheres to Prime and client brand guidelines, and that strategic direction is on target 
  • Write and proof sales and marketing copy to targeted audiences via various tactics 
  • May coordinate Marketing efforts related to product materials and campaigns, business development and sales (including Request for Proposal) 
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required 
  • 2 years of work experience in related marketing roles, including business development support, product marketing and/or marketing project coordination/management 
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong attention to detail and process 
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple projects at one time 
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management experience 
  • Experience in the health insurance or Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) industry

Minimum Physical Job Requirements:

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear 
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms 
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch 
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports to a Sr Professional or Manager in the Marketing department
