Marketing Specialist

Our Power Business Unit is hiring a Marketing Specialist to join the team at our Corporate Office. Reporting to the Business Unit Marketing Manager this position joins the group at an exciting time of introduction of new engines and entry into new sectors. This position is in office three days per week with the opportunity to be remote/hybrid two days per week.

Position Description:

Marketing Specialist supporting the Briggs & Stratton and Vanguard engine marketing team. Supports the VP of Marketing and Product Management and Marketing Manager on the development and implementation of marketing programs including product strategy, communications plans, web site, social media, influencers, collateral and OEM programs.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develops, monitors and communicates project timelines and budgets 
  2. Collaborates with management to develop communication strategy and executes across an integrated marketing communications plan 
  3. Writes, edits, and proofs copy for marketing communications such as product packaging, printed collateral, merchandising, digital content, advertising, customer presentations and press releases 
  4. Develops and executes budget, strategy, and shot list for photo and video shoots 
  5. Creates marketing materials and distributes them to internal and external stakeholders 
  6. Assists in the planning and execution of trade shows and events 
  7. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements:

  • Well-developed understanding of business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing practices, digital marketing and customer online experience, durable goods and retail sales channels 
  • Organized with ability to handle multiple projects independently 
  • Strong ability to communicate (verbal, written) and collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment 
  • Project management skills 
  • Team-oriented 
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience 

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in marketing or related field

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

  • Domestic and/or international travel as required up to 15%
