JOB SUMMARY:

The primary role of the Marketing Specialist is to provide marketing support and consistency to the agency. This position will promote CP’s message and brand and will implement strategies to support three major areas: general awareness, hiring, and department services as defined in the communications plan. This will be completed using a multi-channel approach that includes, but is not limited to, social media, email, direct mail, and media relations. In addition, the Marketing Specialist supports the promotion of events and annual appeals. Key responsibilities include managing social media, email campaigns, website oversite, photo/video production, and Google Analytics/other reporting tools. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Email & Social Media

  • Manage all social media outlets for CP (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and group pages), including paid posts, billing, and tailoring content and ads to different audiences.
  • Create and implement a content calendar, respond to comments and conduct daily monitoring of platforms.
  • Analyze and evaluate social media campaign results and rankings, identify underperforming marketing efforts and develop action plans to address opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and distribute email campaigns to target audiences. Measure and report results.
  • Develop and implement email workflows for Donor Engagement team.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and changes in social media and email management to improve results.

Website

  • Ensure CP’s website remains relevant regarding content and ease of use with monthly review and updates.
  • Review CP’s website monthly using Word Press and make updates as necessary.
  • Use Google Analytics to evaluate campaign success and user traffic monthly.   

Graphic Design

  • Maintain all printed marketing materials including brochures, flyers, stationery posters, ad placement, etc. using the Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
  • Assist other program areas in creating marketing materials to ensure brand compliancy, as needed.
  • Oversee printing process and work with printers to ensure accuracy and professionalism of final product.

Photo/Video

  • Help build CP’s photo and video library.
  • Produce videos for social media, website and YouTube related to services and culture.

Misc.

  • Attendance at CP’s three major events: CP Golf Classic (July), CP Game Changers (November) and Annual Telethon (March) are required. Some additional evenings and weekends may apply to this role.
  • Work staff at in other departments and locations to ensure marketing/messaging consistency and success.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or Associate degree required in marketing related field (marketing, digital advertising, business management) or equivalent experience required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing-related field required.
  • Creative thinker with ability to stay on top of industry trends
  • Ability to build effective relationships internally and externally at all levels.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple projects with sensitivity to details and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to write long and short from content for multi-media use
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient computer/technology skills, especially in Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, general website maintenance (Word Press) experience and photography/video editing experience.
  • Experience with Meta Business Suite and executing ad placement.
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screen.
