The Marketing Specialist plays a key role in helping to shape the way we talk about and promote our sustainability services, technical expertise, thought leadership and value we help our clients achieve. The specialist is critical in further elevating our brand as a sustainability leader in the real estate sector and across all industries. The role will work in partnership with our Sustainability Senior Marketing Director (based in the Asia-Pacific Region), sustainability business leaders in the Americas region in particular, and regional and service line marketing partners to embed our sustainability value proposition more broadly in everything we do.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Partner with regional sustainability leads / teams to understand business objectives and sales support needs 
  • Work with Sustainability Marketing Director and Practice Group Marketing Director to develop and implement the regional sustainability marketing plan aligned with business stakeholders and their needs and priorities, also ensuring alignment with any global sustainability priorities 
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Research and Business partners in the Americas as appropriate to integrate sustainability into marketing collateral, campaigns and thought leadership materials across Service Lines and Product Types 
  • Responsible for ongoing connectivity with PR/Media partners to ensure awareness and action around media exposure opportunities, as they arise 
  • Work with Social Media partners to raise awareness of C&W sustainability value proposition via social channels in concert with annual calendar events (e.g., Earth Day) 
  • Provide events support as required with respect to any sustainability needs 
  • Develop and refine sales enablement tools and business development assets based on business input and client trends/interests 
  • Serve as point of contact in Americas for sustainability marketing inquiries from marketing and business partners—serve as go-to sustainability marketing knowledge partner 
  • Work with Knowledge Management partners to ensure all sales support and business development content reflects current and consistent language, point of view, and visual assets 
  • Work with Business Development and Knowledge Management partners to identify, craft, centralize, tag sustainability case studies 
  • Partner with marketing and coms Points of Contact across local markets to ensure awareness and that sustainability content is delivered in a consistent manner, including drafting communications and hosting awareness calls as needed to introduce new tools and resources or re-establish familiarity with existing tools and resources

Experience:

  • Marketing experience ideally gained within a complex business or matrixed organization 
  • Real estate experience is not essential although may be an advantage 
  • Experience of building strong stakeholder relationships across diverse stakeholder groups

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Marketing & Communications preferred 
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills 
  • Ability to independently achieve successful outcomes on all executed activities with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to interface and communicate with internal clients 
  • Ability to create a clear creative or design brief and understand the parameters for success 
  • Keen interest in sustainability 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills 
  • Strong internal network builder 
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently with matrixed partners, and be successful working within context of project teams
  • MS Office 365 essential; Adobe Creative Cloud skills a plus 
  • Desire to learn about the real estate industry, the impact of a clear sustainability proposition and the broad scope and ambition of our clients
