The Marketing Specialist will help drive/support key marketing initiatives across a dynamic, multi-channel B2C and B2B educational business. Activities will span brand building and awareness generation, project management, operational execution, and sales effectiveness. The person in this role will gain broad marketing experience while building a strong foundation for a high-growth, marketing career. They will also gain exposure to working in ‘start-up’ business environment fueled by market-driven innovation and agile processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage operational systems and processes central to delivering marketing services to internal and external partners, including but not limited to inventory, ordering sites, and project management tools 
  • Assist in the development and management of social media campaigns, website features, and brand building initiatives 
  • Gather, assemble, and help develop content for emails, social media, newsletters, and sales materials 
  • Conduct market research, competitive benchmarking, and prospect reconnaissance to inform the B2B sales go-to-market strategy 
  • Partner with the B2B business development team on prospect targeting and lead cultivation activities, ranging from conference/event coordination to client presentation support and sales follow up 
  • Identify gaps and opportunities in the end-to-end customer experience to enhance customer conversion and retention rates 
  • Serve as liaison for campus communications through informal and formal channels (e.g., request intake and status, push screen communications, and more) 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field 
  • 3+ years in a marketing, advertising, or a PR capacity 
  • Experience supporting sales teams and processes 
  • Experience using basic digital marketing platforms from social media to email 
  • Familiarity with and the ability to function in a matrixed organization 
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally travel (up to 20%) as deemed safe by the CDC or other regulatory bodies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Start-up and/or marketing agency work experience 
  • Desire and ability to work in a hybrid, work-from home and office-based model
