Our Association is looking for a professional to fill the role of Marketing Specialist. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for executing effective marketing strategies, campaign development and analyzing the effectiveness of each campaign. The successful candidate will play an integral role in building and engaging the Association’s member base and championing effective strategies that will promote the long-term growth of our organization.

Association Marketing and Promotion:

  • Manage, enhance and maintain the IIAW website(s), including look and feel, flow and content (content will be contributed by all members of the IIAW team)
  • Send email communication to members of the insurance industry channel
  • Analyze data from website, social media and email to make recommendations and provide regular reports
  • Contribute engaging social media and weekly e-newsletter content
  • Work with Membership Coordinator to create and execute new membership campaigns and member engagement campaigns and new avenues for communicating
  • Work with Graphic Designer to create flyers for educational offerings and other Association programs and services
  • Collaborate with team to produce monthly Association magazine
  • Develop, produce, film and edit video communications, as assigned
  • Suggest ideas as part of regular workflows

Association Events:

  • Involvement in the creative process of marketing materials and event brochures
  • Promote events through e-marketing campaigns, social media awareness and paid advertising,

Additional ad hoc responsibilities may include:

  • Additional staff and association projects, as needed
  • Contribute to the overall success of the organization by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely and accurate manner.
  • Ability to develop Social Media campaigns, required
  • Comfortable engaging one-on-one with members and Association contacts
  • Minimum Associates Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Graphic Design or related field, required
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in marketing, required
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office products, preferred
  • Video and audio production and editing, preferred
  • Compensation based on experience
