The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for creating, implementing, and helping to manage marketing activity, including advertising, branding, electronic, social media and print-based marketing initiatives for Marcus Theatres. This individual will ensure that initiatives effectively reach relevant audiences and will analyze the results for future planning.

This position reports to the Director of Marketing and Studio Relations.

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

  • Work with Marketing team to support marketing objectives across different channels and segments in support of our overall strategic marketing plan;
  • Analyze market data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies;
  • Recommend, coordinate and execute local advertising initiatives within assigned markets, including sports partnerships, radio, direct mail and grassroots/guerilla marketing initiatives, etc.;
  • Serve as point-of-contact for field marketing material requests and communication. Manage production and inventory of digital and collateral marketing materials;
  • Manage and plan marketing initiatives from start to finish, including plan development, project management, field communication and material procurement;
  • Work with other members of the marketing team to support social media and digital marketing objectives across different channels and segments;
  • Collaborate with other members of the marketing team to ensure social media and digital marketing content is creative, engaging, and appealing;
  • Assist team with creation and execution of film studio marketing plans;
  • Interact with multiple departments, (Sales, Operations, Film) to ensure guest needs are met; 
  • All other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing and Studio Relations.

Job Requirements:

  • Three (3) years of experience in marketing and executing marketing materials
  • Travel to local (Wisconsin) Marcus theatre locations and to company functions and meetings is required;
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service and exhibit a sense of urgency to complete duties promptly;
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving environment;
  • Good understanding of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter, and typical social media KPIs;
  • Good understanding of SEO and web-traffic metrics;
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects without supervision;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficient in marketing technology such as Basecamp and Google Analytics, and ability to make marketing changes in the Marcus Theatres website and CMS, preferred

The employee is required to stand, and/or walk occasionally. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Education Required:

  • BS/BA in Marketing, Communications or equivalent
