Marketing Specialist

Position Summary:

The marketing specialist helps grow the opportunity pipeline through the generation of leads and referrals, new target customers and discovery of Sure Controls through general search engine queries. Working closely with the inside and outside sales team, develop and track progress through key metrics quantifying the successful marketing campaigns.

Ideally you shouldn’t be big on job titles, at Sure Controls – we are part of the team and everyone is an important player on that team.

Role and Responsibilities:

Lead & grow marketing initiatives for Sure Controls (in-bound & out-bound)

  • Website, LinkedIn, eBlasts, Google Searches, Trade Shows, etc…

Working closely with Sure Controls vendors and associates, develop and maintain marketing content that support our core competencies

  • Sell Sheets, Videos, Success Stories/App Notes, Presentations, Newsletters, etc

Develop campaigns that increase traffic and transactions executed through the Sure Controls Webstore

Provide support in new associate recruitment through website, social media messaging and brand development

Drive customer leads best practice through responsive follow-up and tracking to revenue realization using CRM.

Provide feedback to lead sources on follow up activities and status.

Provide a dashboard of results on marketing campaigns (what works, what doesn’t work, etc)

Keep CRM contact information updated as responses are generated from our marketing blasts.

Utilize our CSAT (Customer Satisfaction Surveys) to develop campaigns and/or initiatives that grow our customer referral business

  • Recommend improvements and ways we can gain better feedback from customers that leads to more referral business

Conduct market research through internet, industry publications, “social listening “ – LinkedIn, Facebook, Blogs, phone, email, webinars, surveys, and internal Sure Controls data mining and report recommendations to sales and management teams

Generate target account lists and share with inside and outside sales personnel to support the strategic sales plan

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • College Degree, Associate Degree or High school diploma; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Decision Making – Gathering facts, analysis and producing a final choice 
  • Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully, develops alternative solutions and works well individually and in group problem solving situations

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent writing skills 
  • Open communication and collaboration skills 
  • Have great time management skills

Other Requirements:

  • Acquires the technical product knowledge of Sure Controls products and services and customer processes of industrial automation, robotics and motion, thermal process, web handling and process performance management. 
  • May be required to work hours outside of the typical 7:30-4:30 day. 
  • Customer telephone dialog skills (listening questioning and responding) 
  • Online Comfortable – Social Media Management Assistance, simple website updates 
  • We close at 2pm on Friday to enjoy time with friends and family on the weekend 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
