University Lake School (ULS) is seeking a Marketing Specialist to help implement the school’s integrated marketing plan, as well as support communications and admissions. The Marketing Specialist aims to increase enrollment by promoting our school to new parents in the community, as well as retaining current families.

Duties of this full-time, exempt position include the following (these are subject to change depending on department needs and the candidate’s skills and talents):

Marketing Support:

Coordinate and project manage print and digital advertising campaigns, social media presence, public relations, direct mail campaigns, print materials, advertising placement and more. Track and assess the effectiveness of marketing tactics. Help maintain consistency on positioning and branding.

Event Management:

Coordinate, manage and promote community outreach and campus events such as open houses, Apple Crisp Run, parades, local kids fests, and more. Take an active role in retaining current families through events and personal relationships. Take photos and short videos as needed for social media and promotion.

Daily Operations:

Work to support the Director of Marketing and Communications, and the Director of Admissions, to implement the objectives and tactics of the annual marketing plan. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, marketing; market research; community outreach; promotional materials; and measuring and assessing the effectiveness of all program tactics.

The ideal candidate has

  • 1-3 years of marketing experience
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Strong writing, proofing and communication skills
  • Ability to perform on deadline
  • Willingness to learn and problem-solve
  • Enthusiasm for executing event logistics
  • Strong experience with and understanding of social media
  • Ease with technology and Google Suite
  • Ability to juggle, organize and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Warm, personable demeanor; can-do attitude.
  • Graphic design skills a plus, but not required.
  • Skill and experience can come from a variety of industries and backgrounds. However, a desire to be in an independent school setting that lives by our four Branches of the Pine is a must: intellectual curiosity, original thinking, personal integrity, and character through service
