The Marketing Specialist works with the Marketing Associate Director and experts within the Office for Communications and Advancement to support the strategic vision of the School of Education. The Marketing Specialist plays a crucial role in producing compelling communications and campaigns about school programs and initiatives across digital platforms and social media to a variety of internal and external audiences from diverse backgrounds.

The Marketing Specialist plays an important role at the School of Education to serve and improve our communities, the state, and the world.

  • Develops, implements, and maintains strategic marketing plans based on research and established strategies
  • Develops, implements, and disseminates marketing materials through various communication mediums utilizing appropriate technologies and techniques
  • Collects, analyzes, prepares, summarizes, and disseminates data and trends relevant to ongoing or future marketing activities
  • Leads the School's social media strategy and oversees student interns to grow the School's social media presence 
  • Serves as a marketing liaison for web-based projects and provides a marketing perspective in a collaborative environment
  • At least three years of experience in marketing or communications preferred
  • Experience in cross-cultural communications or lived experience working across cultures, ages groups, and/or languages
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems, email marketing and marketing automation tools (like Salesforce, Mailchimp, Eloqua)
  • Experience with WordPress or similar content management system
  • Demonstrated track record in writing marketing copy and creating marketing materials
  • Experience working in social media platforms and creating social engagement as a brand
  • Experience working in continuing education and/or higher education marketing a plus
  • Google Ads Certification and other digital marketing certifications a plus
