A highly skilled copywriter and marketing visionary who is responsible to develop, implement and execute the strategies for recruitment and retention of prospective and current students for the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) Designation. Strategically work with internal teams to create and execute all marketing initiatives with a deep commitment to position our students for success in their professional lives. Responsible to design campaigns and communications that encourage potential candidates to enroll in the program and to enhance student success. Prior experience marketing to student populations is preferred, but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following, other duties may be assigned.

  • Plan, develop, execute and manage the tactical marketing campaigns for the prestigious CEBS designation. This includes, but is not limited to: campaign/project management, behavioral-based email marketing management, promotional idea generation, copywriting, media planning, webpage management, social media and oversight of graphic design and the creative process. 
  • Develop strategies to build brand awareness and engagement through creating/curating content and strong storytelling aligned with CEBS narratives, initiatives, and other academic and functional narratives. 
  • Provide creative direction and content development for a comprehensive product catalog for CEBS along with other direct mail postcards/brochures for product promotion. Responsible to launch, or coordinate launches of, finished collateral. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to execute a fully integrated multi-channel marketing approach; including: setting up campaign workflows, appropriate segmentation, lead-nurturing and drip campaigns to support student recruitment and pathing for the CEBS brand or academic partner programs. 
  • Collect and analyze relevant market and student data, competitive practices, industry trends and growth opportunities. Research and identify new lead generation and reengagement strategies for continued growth. 
  • Track and analyze ROI and KPIs of marketing programs and campaigns and make recommendations for improvement while using both on-line and off-line data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations for marketing campaign improvements and workflow developments. 
  • Utilize the Foundation’s email marketing platform (Eloqua) to create cleanly-built email communications, robust student pathing, and lead-nurturing campaigns. Leverage the Foundation’s customer database to target communications effectively and manage a product’s marketing communication campaign, as assigned. 
  • Provide support in the development of the marketing operations strategy to create scalable processes utilizing Microsoft Dynamics and/or other third-party platforms to improve product/marketing campaign setup, tracking and data analytics. 
  • As assigned, provide marketing support for other Foundation products and services.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

This position requires a four-year degree in Marketing or a related field with at least three (3) years of successful marketing communications, advertising, or public relations experience; five (5) or more is preferred.

The International Foundation will always consider candidates with an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Strong copywriting experience is required with demonstrated proficiency in all types of marketing communications. 
  • This individual must understand integrated data base programs such as CRM and an email marketing software. Knowledge of other analytical tools is a plus. 
  • The successful candidate will possess a demonstrated understanding of: direct mail marketing, email marketing, online marketing and digital/interactive media. 
  • Strongly prefer candidates with experience working with academic programs who possess a basic understanding of employee benefits programs. 
  • A Certified Employee Benefit Specialist® (CEBS®) designation is desirable; however, the right candidate will have the opportunity to complete their certification post-hire. 
  • It is essential that the individual be a team player and able to multi-task while working in a diverse business environment. 
  • The successful individual will be self-motivated, an excellent communicator (both oral and written), with good organizational skills, creative and possess team leadership skills. 
  • Strong computer literacy with a strong background in Word, Excel and database marketing is required. 

Work Environment & Travel:

The individual in this Marketing Strategist role must be able to effectively work in a hybrid environment (60/40, onsite/remote) and travel both domestically and internationally (approximately 10%).
