Position Details

Marketing Strategist
Northern Illinois
Deerfield, IL

As a member of the College marketing team, the Marketing Strategist develops and executes measurably successful marketing and communication strategies which support the overarching department goals and reinforces the brand of TIU.


  • Create, drive and measure the effectiveness of the marketing and communication strategies. 
  • Conduct focus groups and other necessary research prior to execution to test the strategies. 
  • Identify potential stories to share with constituents for social media, web and print content and hand-off to the content development team for creation. 
  • Regularly attend marketing’s meetings to share updates and collaborate with fellow team members. 
  • Regularly attend the specific department meetings as requested by that department’s director. 
  • Project manage and write copy for brochures, ads, sell sheets, department web content, etc. (Stories that are incorporated will be created by the content development team.) 
  • Execute online advertising and digital marketing strategies in collaboration with the Director of Digital Communication. 
  • Manage the specific department’s marketing budget. 
  • Complete other marketing responsibilities as needed.
  • Supportive of Trinity’s mission and core values, commitment to a Christian lifestyle, and demonstration of character in keeping with biblical models. 
  • BA required with 3-5 years leading measurably successful marketing initiatives. 
  • Experience in higher education preferred. 
  • Thorough understanding of theology and values of Evangelical Christianity.

Working Relationships:

  • Reports to the Director of Marketing Strategy and is a member of the College marketing team.
